Joe Biden will use the six months he has left in the White House to cement his legacy as a public servant while doing some petty stuff in his spare time.
His recent decisions have made it clear that in the final months of his presidency, he will assert his authority over those who forced him towards the exit or refused to support him in retaining his position.
Joe Biden’s revenge agenda will first be set in motion during the Democratic National Convention, which will launch today in Chicago.
It will be one of the most bittersweet moments in Biden’s 50-year political career.
The former senator from Delaware must have played some real mind game or profusely prayed to God to help him accept his new brutal reality — he is going from being the leading man of the convention to another random speaker on opening night.
It is like Taylor Swift or Beyoncé getting downgraded from the main act to the opening act in the year’s biggest concert.
According to sources, Biden is still reeling from the effects of former President Barack Obama‘s actions, or rather, his inaction.
The former vice president is at a loss for words over Barack Obama’s decision to publicly humiliate him by not defending him against the political hyenas who turned on him after a bad debate.
Biden is also hurt that Obama is said to have contributed to Georges Clooney‘s damaging open letter in The New York Times demanding his resignation.
Politico revealed that Biden was reportedly upset that “Obama didn’t call him directly to talk over the growing pressure to replace him.”
A source explained: “The former president did not try to stir up a movement to dislodge Biden from the top of the ticket, but he also didn’t quell one, much to the dismay of some of those closest to Biden.”
Joe Biden’s payback is public and indeed petty. The president has decided to snub Barack Obama by leaving Chicago immediately after delivering his remarks.
Barack Obama and his wife, Michelle Obama, will deliver speeches on Tuesday evening. Politico‘s Playbook confirms that Biden “won’t be sticking around for the rest of the week’s festivities.”
A political insider revealed via The Daily Beast that Biden has a full agenda to take care of in D.C. Additionally, the president “harbors some resentment that Obama didn’t stand up for him when the knives came out after the disastrous debate with Donald Trump in Atlanta.”
White House spokesman Andrew Bates was asked about Biden leaving the convention early and missing Obama’s significant return to the spotlight.
Bates gave The Daily Beast this response: “We do not have schedule information to provide about next week yet, but we can keep you posted for when we do.”
It was later confirmed that the president will be in California for the rest of the week. A little vacation with his wife, Jill Biden, to move forward.
