Markle is determined to be the next big thing on Netflix with her cookery show With Love, Meghan. The former actress created an Instagram page to give a sneak preview of what she is cooking for her potential fans.
Netflix has unveiled a trailer for the series, heightening the anticipation for its March debut.
The cookery show was pushed back per Markle’s request because she prefers to focus her time and energy on volunteering during the horrible fires in Southern California.
The teaser showed Markle doing things for fancy and rich people, such as hosting friends for brunch in a fancy garden in the backyard of a stunning California mansion.
Meghan McCain, who has outed herself as a former huge Meghan Markle fan, took to social media to say that she dislikes the idea of a rich woman trying to sell Middle America what they cannot afford right now.
The former cohost of The View is another nepo baby who is the heiress of a half-billion dollar company, thanks to her mother, Cindy McCain.
Meghan McCain, the daughter of the heroic Senator John McCain, unleashed a fiery social media post explaining that Markle is out of touch with Americans paying 9 dollars for 12 eggs and exorbitant gas prices.
She began her post: “I was originally a Meghan Markle supporter; I thought she was cool, stylish, and refreshing. Like the rest of the world, my opinion changed when she disrespected the royal family. Now that she wants to be American again instead of British aristocracy, what she seems to forget is Americans want real, raw, uncensored.”
The former Daily Mail writer concluded by: “All of this, even in the trailer, is highly curated, produced, and out of touch. There have been two terror attacks in 2 days, major wars are raging, and Americans can’t pay for groceries. We are a country in rage, uncertainty, and intensity right now. This concept is ill-advised. I would have told her to do a show to help bring fresh food to food deserts in low-income neighborhoods. Do something to help people instead of your ego. This is why the world doesn’t like you, nothing else. Just completely and utterly tone deaf to the moment.”
Meghan McCain was quickly reminded that as a wealthy woman, she has no authority to slam Markle for promoting unattainable lifestyles to Americans.
Markle seems to be using her time before the show premieres to change the out-of-touch and too-articulated narrative.
Markle and Prince Harry have given victims of the fires their time and energy. They have donated some items and money to help rebuild.
