Prince William And Meghan Markle Place Prince Harry Between A Rock And A Hard Place With This Bittersweet Decision

Prince William Meghan Markle Prince Harry Summer Choice Drama Princess Diana New Baby

Prince Harry is going to have a summer of bittersweet moments. The Duke of Sussex is expected to welcome his second child — a baby girl into the world.

He is also set to feel the wrath of the royal family during an emotional trip to London to honor his late mother, Princess Diana.

Prince William and his brother, Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex, are scheduled to stand side by side as they unveil a statue at Kensington Palace to commemorate what would have been Princess Diana’s 60th birthday on July 1st.

However, Prince Harry’s plan to attend the somber event is in limbo. Meghan Markle‘s husband is thinking about canceling his travel plans because he fears what is waiting for him back home.

Last month, when Prince Harry flew to England to attend Prince Philip‘s funeral.

On one hand, he did not get a warm welcome from his family, and he does not wish to relieve that. However, on the other, by letting Prince William handle the sad event alone, he is prolonging the ongoing war in the royal family.

Additionally, Prince Harry thinks that the British people no longer love and respect him, and they will give him an icy reception during the public event because of “Megxit” and his chat with Oprah Winfrey.

With these nightmarish scenarios keeping him up at night, Prince Harry is now looking for an excuse to cancel the trip.

Another reason for Prince Harry to skip the unveiling of the statue might be Meghan Markle’s decision not ever to step foot in England because she worries about Britons booing her over the controversial Oprah interview.

In an interview with The Sun, Phil Dampier, a royal author, explained how Meghan Markle’s fear could play a part in Prince Harry staying in California.

Dampier said: “I personally don’t think Meghan will return to the U.K. And there must now be a serious doubt as to whether Harry will come over for the unveiling of a statue for Princess Diana on what would have been her 60th birthday in July.”

Royal commentator Dan Wootton shared the same theory saying: “But it is unclear if Meghan, who is heavily pregnant with the couple’s second child, will be involved in those discussions and if she will consider making her first trip back to London since Megxit. There are genuine concerns that she could be booed at an event attended by members of the public given her current unpopularity in the U.K. as a result of the Oprah interview.”

Russell Myers, the Mirror‘s royal editor, added: “His intention is to come back. One may wonder, if his wife has just had a baby, I’m sure he could jump on a private jet and make a flying visit. But will it be a convenient excuse, so he doesn’t have to come back and face the family?”

Dampier also confirmed that the relationship between the Sussexes and Prince William and Kate Middleton is strained but not beyond repair.

The royal expert shared: “The relationship between the so-called former ‘Fab Four’—Harry, Meghan, William, and Kate—is now so broken and delicate that everyone is looking for the slightest signs it is getting better…or worse. After Prince Philip’s funeral, the discussions were a start, but were clearly very strained and only an opening move.”

He concluded by pleading with the power couple to stop feuding with Prince Harry’s blood family and added: “Harry and Meghan now have all they want to make them happy if they are going to be. A son, a daughter on the way, their freedom from the royal family, and the means to make money and get involved in causes that interest them. To carry on a war with Harry’s blood family is unnecessary and counter-productive, and the sooner they realize that, the better. They should get on with their lives, stop playing the victim and stop playing on their royal connections by leaking stories while pleading for privacy. People can see through it, and anyone who advises them to carry on this way is giving them bad advice.”

Prince Harry is stuck between a rock and a hard place — snub his brother, which implies he will not mend their relationship or leave his wife in California as she gets ready to give birth to their miracle baby.
