Queen Elizabeth II was beaming as she and multiple royal family members appeared on the balcony at Buckingham Palace to watch her birthday parade.
Her Majesty, 96, responded to the many questions that Prince Louis had about the Royal Air Force’s special flypast.
She even attempted to help Kate Middleton as the child grew more agitated by the roaring sounds of the jets and aircraft.
However, almost immediately after the Trooping the Colour parade, Palace officials announced that Her Majesty would be skipping the service of Thanksgiving in her honor at St Paul’s Cathedral.
The official stated that Queen Elizabeth, who is struggling with mobility issues, has suffered some discomfort while watching the parade.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, who flew from California to attend the Platinum Jubilee celebrations, were supposed to participate in the church service with The Queen.
Prince Charles replaced the Queen at the religious event.
Two veteran royal experts weighed in on Queen Elizabeth’s significant and abrupt change in schedule by saying that it ruined Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s opportunity to give Nexflix the money shot they had hoped for.
Prince Harry and Markle were not allowed to appear on the famous balcony with Her Majesty because they had stepped down from their royal duties.
Therefore the former American actress and the British prince had only one chance to be seen publicly with Her Majesty — and that was taken away because of health issues.
Royal biographer Tom Bower explained why Prince Harry and Markle are now in a complicated situation with Netflix: “The one good thing which I do think is a terrible shame that the Queen can’t go to St Paul’s. But it does mean that Netflix can’t get the pan from Meghan to the Queen. That’s cut out now.”
Royal author Dan Wootton added: “Indeed. Can we just be honest about why this couple has come over here? They’ve had a stark realization over the past couple of months, haven’t they? That these big American countries are only interested in them because of their proximity to the Royal Family.”
Bower continued: “Absolutely. The moment Harry discovered his bid to appear on the balcony had been vetoed by the unbelievably wise advisers to the Queen, 18 minutes later, he said he was coming.”
Prince Harry and Markle signed a lucrative deal with Netflix in 2021 for several millions of dollars to produce series, movies, and documentaries.
However, the royal couple has yet to deliver any content to the streaming giant that is now facing financial difficulties.
Netflix recently canceled Pearl, an animated series about Markle. It has since been reported that Markle and Prince Harry have signed on to do a reality/docuseries about their lives in California.
