From The Catwalk To Home Design
Kendall Jenner has stunned fans with a bold decision about her future, revealing plans to quit her supermodel career and pursue an entirely new path.
This week, the TV personality and influencer, once the highest-paid supermodel, told Vogue that she will soon retire from the runway. Kim Kardashian‘s younger sister shared that she intends to explore something completely different.
Jenner wants to move into home design, a field that brings her happiness and fulfillment. Kendall Jenner shared that the catwalk gives her anxiety and stress, and she would rather be comfortably dressed, no makeup, flip flops and redesigning homes across L.A.
Kendall Jenner revealed her plans, saying, “I swear to God, I’m going to stop everything and just design homes. I’m not kidding.”
She emphasized, “I love my space in L.A., but I also really love the simple life. I like getting up every morning and throwing on a bathing suit or sweatpants and no makeup and just being free with my day.”
The 29-year-old businesswoman added, “I think about the future a lot, but I try not to overplan because you know I’m a planner.”
Finding Joy And Anonymity With Her Horses
In the interview, Kendall Jenner also mentioned her love for horses and the opportunity to connect incognito at horse shows.
She explained her approach to competition: “I love to go to the horse show dressed just like everybody else and have my helmet on and my sunglasses and my uniform, and I can compete under a completely different name.”
A Look Back At Life As A Reality Star
Kendall Jenner, who has been on TV since age 11 with her family, appeared on Keeping Up with the Kardashians, The Kardashians, and several spinoffs.
She noted that although it was not always simple, her mom, Kris Jenner, ensured that she and her younger sister, Kylie Jenner, had a normal education, genuine love, and support.
Looking back, she recalled, “We went to school. We went to school as long as we could. I started home school, 11th and 12th grade.”
The fashion designer explained that “even though we had a TV show at home, we were going to regular school all day and had our friends that we had from before the show started.”
She admitted, “It wasn’t always easy,” but said the setup at the time made things feel “kind of normal.” She went on, “Overall, I am really grateful because I think it could have been a lot worse.”
Grateful For The Past, But Longing For Privacy
Kendall Jenner is grateful for the shows, which helped build her character and provided her with a platform. Now, she prefers activities where she isn’t recognized and can be herself.
She added, “I think that Kylie and I, the one thing we had was a lot of stability, a lot of love and a really great support system and really great friends.”
She also reflected, “There’s also an aspect of us being really grateful that we had older siblings that we got to see do things before us and lead us in a way.”
Jenner is the founder of 818 Tequila.
