An angry Donald Trump lashed out at his former staff member, Omarosa Manigault Newman, who dropped four bombshells in her new book.
A journalist asked the president if he felt that the fired White House aide had betrayed him with the publication of the highly anticipated book, Unhinged: An Insider Account of the Trump White House.
Trump, who is unfamiliar with decorum, replied: “Lowlife. She’s a lowlife.” Mr. Trump made the surprising remarks while attending an event with bikers in Bedminster, New Jersey.
Some critics of the president want to know — why did he hire Manigault Newman in the first place?
According to the excerpts that have surfaced online: — Manigault Newman claimed that Trump used the n-word on the set of The Apprentice on numerous occasions.
— After meeting with then-lawyer Michael Cohen, Trump, who did not want anything to leak or be used against him, decided to eat the note/paper that he used to write specific information about his case.
Manigault Newman, who held the post of assistant to the president and the director of communications for the Office of Public Liaison, wrote: “I saw him put a note in his mouth. Since Trump is a germaphobe, I was shocked he appeared to be chewing and swallowing the paper. It must have been something very, very sensitive.”
— The former reality star, who secretly recorded some of their conversations, wrote in her potential bestseller that Trump wanted to be sworn in on his own book, The Art of the Deal, instead of the Bible because it would help sell millions of copies and because he believes it is one of the best things ever written on Earth.
— Manigault Newman also confessed that after she was booted from the Oval Office, she was offered $15,000 a month contract to sign a nondisclosure agreement, but she declined.
The current White House press secretary, Sarah Sanders, bashed her former colleague by more or less calling her a liar and stated that the book is “riddled with lies and false accusations.”
A few years back Trump praised Manigault Newman saying she was honest.
Honest Omarosa: she won't backstab-she'll come at you from the front.
