Aaron Howard Kara Box Texas Mattress Shooting

A heated exchange over trash led to the killing of Aaron Howard, 37, by a father and son duo — 67-year-old John Miller and Michael Miller, 31 — in Texas.

The entire tragic incident was caught on camera by Howard’s fiancée and common-law wife, Kara Box.

On September 1st, the authorities of the Abilene Police Department were called to a home on Don Juan Street after the deadly encounter took place.

The three men had been feuding for several days after Howard placed a mattress in a dumpster.

John, who was not pleased about the mattress, removed it and threw it on Howard’s property which prompted a nasty argument.

At some point during the profanity-laced exchange, both Miller men entered their home and returned with loaded guns.

Standing in the alleyway, Howard could be heard telling his angry neighbors: “You pulled a gun in front of my kids over a f—— mattress.”

As the matter escalated, Box can be seen stepping between Howard and the armed men and saying, “You’re not gonna shoot my husband.”

Howard, who had a baseball bat, yelled: “Shoot me!” And the crazed duo did just that.

The camera shows Michael aiming his weapon at Howard and four gunshots could be heard.

Seconds later, Box could be heard running towards Howard who was hit by one or multiple bullets.

Box said she decided to share the video with the media because: “Well, people deserve to know what actually happened and you know they deserve to know that John and Michael Miller are murderers. You can see that I stepped in between them and I said, ‘you’re not going to shoot my husband’ then he fired passed my head.”

She went on to explain: “Aaron goes into pappa bear mode. This man has just pulled a gun on his wife, his brother, his nieces and nephews.”

John and his son, Michael Miller, were arrested and charged with first-degree murder and have been released on $25,000 bond.
