A group of senior citizens has been caught in the middle of a large-scale indecent act, as they were reportedly having sex in the woods in Fairfield, Connecticut.
The Fairfield Police’s Quality of Life Unit and the Special Services Unit claim that they came across the situation after complaints that there have been lots of incidents of indecent exposure in the Grace Richardson conservation area which is near the Smith Richardson Golf Course and the Hoyden’s Hill Open Space.
However, police likely did not expect to catch six people, (five men and one woman), all over the age of 60 engaging in lewd acts.
Among those arrested are Daniel Dobbins, 67, Otto D. Williams, 62, Charles L Ardito, 75, John Linartz, 62, Richard Butler, 82, and his wife, Joyce Butler, 85.
The Butlers say they had nothing to do with all of this. Joyce told the Smoking Gun: “We were just sitting there and we just got caught in what was going on. And they were perfectly all wrong. There was nothing going on at all.”
Richard added: “I haven’t had sex in maybe 10 years. I got no blood flow. I got three doctors that would back me up.”
All were charged with breach of the peace as for Dobbins and Linartz they were hit with an additional charge of public indecency. Dobbins is already to local police.
In 2017, several citizens called the authorities after they spotted Dobbins walking around naked in another park.
Police found the man still in his car with a shirt and pants draped over him, and he had no underwear on.
The elderly group did not face the full extent of their charges due to their old age. Instead, they were released after promising to appear at court on a later date.
This is not the first time authorities have had to deal with such incidents in the area, as locals have called for the police multiple times before for similar problems.
Several websites and magazines are more or less advertising the spot as the best place in the city for date nights or casual sex. It is listed as a place for hookups on Tinder sex.
However, it apparently took officers some time to figure out who was behind the indecent acts and where things were going down in the first place.
According to current reports, there might be more to the story, with more people apparently being investigated for their possible involvement in the indecent scandal.
However, authorities have refused to share more details about the case, as they have been following it in relative secrecy, due to the sensitive nature of what had happened.
Fairfield Police Capt. Robert Kalamaras said in a statement that they are committed to keeping public areas “appropriate and safe.”
