Speculation about the death of Jeffrey Epstein continues to circulate the Internet and media in general, as many voices are convinced that there is more to the disgraced financier’s apparent suicide than people are being told.
And while this has been the subject of speculation and rumors, with no official reports so far, various people have chimed in with their views on the situation.
In a somewhat bizarre recent example, a former Navy SEAL, Warrior Dog Foundation founder Mike Ritland, who had been invited on Fox News to talk about military dogs, suddenly changed the topic of the conversation, stating that the late Epstein did not commit suicide — with the statement coming out randomly and unprovoked.
Ritland said: “Epstein didn’t kill himself.” The segment’s host, Jesse Watters, initially laughed at the remark, seemingly oblivious to its implications.
Very shortly afterward, the Watters World‘s host made a half-joking comment on the statement made by the former soldier and continued with the segment as if nothing had happened.
And while the soldiers’ antics amused many, he has also been heavily criticized by some who have pointed out that such commentary had no place in a random news segment.
It is not clear if the act was planned in advance or if it came about in the spur of the moment.
The former SEAL himself did not offer any further comments on what he had said, leading many to believe that he may not have been all too serious with his words.
Still, some have been trying to reach out to him on social media for more information.
One backer shared: “Epstein didn’t kill himself,” Hahahahahahaha I don’t think I’ve laughed that hard in a while! Mike drop has dropped the mic!”
A second supporter chimed in: “That was seriously the best thing that I think I’ve seen in a long time! You’re amazing! ??? #epsteindidntkillhimself.”
Fox News seems like fertile ground for Epstein’s conspiracy theories. Especially in light of famed pathologist Michael Baden‘s recent interview on the network during which he claims Epstein’s death was a homicide.
He stated: “I think that the evidence points toward homicide rather than suicide. The brother is concerned that if [Epstein] was murdered, then other people who have information might be at risk. If they think he has information, his life could be in jeopardy.”
Baden also added: “Hanging does not cause these broken bones and homicide does. A huge amount of pressure was applied. They took fingernail clippings to see if there’s anybody else’s DNA on it and that hasn’t been released, neither has information about whose DNA is on the ligature out of torn strips of orange sheets. Whoever made it has to have a lot of DNA on it and the brother has been asking for that from day one.”
Some say Ritland might have watched the Bannen interview.
