The Royal Family is playing a fascinating game with Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle. The game is called anything you can do, I can do better, bigger, and get more applause for it because I am doing it for charity.
After Prince Harry and his spouse aired their Netflix series Harry & Meghan, King Charles III, who is set to appear in a docuseries, was seen laughing very loud during a royal engagement with action star and funnyman Ryan Reynolds.
King Charles and his wife Camilla, Queen Consort, met with Reynolds and and Rob McElhenney at Wrexham by heading to Racecourse Ground, the Wrexham Association Football Club (AFC) base.
The royals came to support the Hollywood actors who purchased the Wrexham AFC for £2 million or $2.5 million in 2020.
The King and Queen of England joined the owners, toured the stadium, and spoke with the soccer players and staff members.
Reynolds also took some time to joke about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s Netflix documentary. McElhenney laughed and said: “I’ve never heard of it.”
Reynolds added: “I’ve not seen it. As a Canadian, and I’m sure Rob will speak as an American, we are not steeped in the culture as one would be growing up in the UK.”
Reporters following King Charles caught his exchange with Paul Chaloner, the head groundsman.
The Monarch asked him: “This is proper grass, isn’t it? Not that plastic stuff?”
Chaloner confirmed that the grass was real but went on to confess that the harsh winter weather is making it hard to maintain properly.
King Charles and Camilla, Queen Consort, also spoke with contractors and architects who are revamping the stadium.
His Majesty also wished the players the best of luck for their big Saturday game.
Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney are filming a documentary about the Welsh club, and according to The Telegraph, the King might make an appearance because he is delighted to help elevate the club and the community.
The series called Welcome to Wrexham, which is focused on the development of the club, airs on Netflix’s rival Disney+.
The British media outlet revealed: “Reynolds and McElhenney star in a Disney+ documentary series, Welcome to Wrexham, documenting their efforts to revive the fortunes of the non-league Welsh football club. The series was being filmed during the visit, raising the prospect that the King might find himself starring in a documentary on a rival streaming giant to his younger son.”
King Charles will appear on the streaming giant to talk about the turn of fortune of the club and the city.
The Sovereign, who was in great spirit, told the officials who were present on Friday: “A little earlier today, I had the opportunity to see one of the other wonders of Wrexham, namely the football club, which is busy putting Wrexham on the map as never before.”
In a recent speech, the King had these words about Wrexham: He said: “As we now mark this historic occasion, we also look back, with mingled sadness and pride, at that extraordinary reign, during which, as you know, my mother’s great love for Wales was always apparent.t is thoroughly fitting that we should celebrate the creation of Wales’s newest city in the setting of this magnificent church, which truly deserves its designation as one of the Seven Wonders of Wales.”
The King is making some interesting moves.
