Man With Coronavirus Says Drug Backed By Trump Saved His Life As Other Dies Trying To Prevent The Disease With Chloroquine Phosphate

Rio Giardinieri Donald Trump Backed Dug Coronavirus

Rio Giardinieri, a businessman from Florida, is telling the whole world that the cocktail of drugs that President Donald Trump has been promoting on Twitter and in his daily briefings saved his life after getting infected with the deadly coronavirus.

Mr. Giardinieri, 52, said he was ill for about five days and was in unbearable pain. The man, who is the vice-president of a company that manufactures cooking equipment at high-end restaurants in Los Angeles, California, told reporters that he firmly believes that he contracted the infectious illness after attending a conference in New York.

After catching the COVID-19, he began sleeping over 15 hours per night. His health took a dramatic turn where he was suffering from excruciating back pain, headache, cough, and often felt tired.

Things went from bad to worse for the man when his doctor refused to see him or provide him with proper care.

Despite being terribly ill, he found the strength to drive himself to Joe DiMaggio Hospital in South Florida, which is located a few miles from his home.

After waiting for hours to be tested, he almost fainted. And after finally seeing a physician, it was revealed that he was suffering from both pneumonia and coronavirus.

In an attempt to save Giardinieri’s life, he was placed on oxygen in the ICU.

After more than a week, he could not breathe, and his health was rapidly deteriorating, and on March 20, he understood that his life was ending, so he called his family and told them goodbye.

Giardinieri explained: “I was at the point where I was barely able to speak, and breathing was very challenging. I really thought my end was there. I had been through nine days of solid pain, and for me, the end was there, so I made some calls to say, in my own way, goodbye to my friends and family.”

Giardinieri said after his emotional goodbyes, a miracle took place thanks to a friend who emailed him an article taking about hydroxychloroquine, an old anti-malaria medicine that the Republican president has been talking about for several days because he read reports that confirmed that it has saved COVID-19 patients overseas.

Giardinieri said he reached out to an infectious disease doctor and said he is ready to try the drug.

He stated: “He gave me all the reasons why I would probably not want to try it because there are no trials. There’s no testing. It was not something that was approved, and I said, ‘Look, I don’t know if I’m going to make it until the morning,’ because at that point, I really thought I was coming to an end because I couldn’t breathe anymore. He agreed and authorized the use of it, and 30 minutes later, the nurse gave it to me.”

Giardinieri said after taking the medication, he suffered heart problems and was not able to breathe.

The man revealed: “They had to come in and get me calmed down and take care of me. I had another episode about two hours later, where I just got to the point where I couldn’t breathe, and my heart was pounding again, so they gave me some Benadryl through the system, and something else. I’m not sure what it was. It allowed me to go to sleep, and when I woke up at exactly 4:45 in the morning, I woke up like nothing ever happened.”

Miraculously, he has been cured and is getting ready to get his doctor’s approval to go home to his family.

However, a woman in Arizona, who has lost her husband after taking chloroquine phosphate in an attempt to prevent coronavirus, is blaming Trump for the tragedy.

While in ICU herself, she told NBC News: “Trump kept saying it was basically pretty much a cure.”

She continued: “Oh my God. Don’t take anything. Don’t believe anything. Don’t believe anything that the President says & his people…call your doctor.”

Trump is already thinking about reopening the economy in a few days as other developed countries take more extreme measures against the coronavirus.
