The love affair between the Kardashians and Jenners and the little screen will never end according to the latest reports.
Recently, Kim Kardashian announced that she and her sisters would end their popular and sometimes controversial TV series, Keeping Up With the Kardashians, after 20 long seasons.
The show that started in 2007 will wrap in 2021 after giving birth to multiple spinoffs and making the Kardashian/Jenner clans worldwide phenomenons and extremely wealthy.
The family’s matriarch, Kris Jenner, has already worked out a plan to make the TV family even richer in the upcoming years.
The family’s future looks very bright for Kris is said to be talking with several companies, including Netflix, Apple TV, and Amazon, to ink a massive streaming service deal.
An insider told Page Six that Kylie Jenner and her relatives know where the real money is, and they are eager to go there.
E! had paid the family $150 million for the last season of the show, but they are eyeing a larger paycheck — around $300 million from Netflix or another online media.
A source told the New York Post: “There’s more money in streaming. And it’s global. They’re open to all opportunities. But they are taking some time off.”
The insider explained that the ladies, who are now veteran businesswomen, would be creating content instead of launching a new reality show about their drama, love lives, and lavish lifestyle.
Kim penned a heartfelt note to her fans announcing the series finale saying: “It is with heavy hearts that we’ve made the difficult decision as a family to say goodbye to Keeping Up with the Kardashians.”
E! issued a statement, and it read: “E! has been the home and extended family to the Kardashian-Jenners for what will be 14 years, featuring the lives of this empowering family. Along with all of you, we have enjoyed following the intimate moments the family so bravely shared by letting us into their daily lives.”
It went on to say: “While it has been an absolute privilege and we will miss them wholeheartedly, we respect the family’s decision to live their lives without our cameras. It is not our final goodbye yet; we are excited to have the new season of ‘Keeping Up with the Kardashians’ launching on September 17 with the final season airing in 2021. We thank the entire extended family and our production partners, Bunim Murray and Ryan Seacrest Productions, for embarking on this global phenomenon together.”
Experts say a new deal will probably not be announced anytime soon.
