Queen Elizabeth Failed To See That Meghan Markle Had Something Rare To Offer And Paid A Hefty Price

It is a well-known fact that Queen Elizabeth II has an iron fist underneath her velour gloves.

Her Majesty’s tough way of doing things might have pushed Prince Harry and Meghan Markle out the door, according to some with insider knowledge of what goes on in the royal family.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex captured the hearts of royal fans with their elegance, their desire to be worldwide philanthropists, and their beautiful Hollywoodesque romance — a prince who married a biracial actress.

While there were certain issues, (racist comments and lack of privacy), that surfaced; no one could have imagined that two years later, Harry and Meghan would clash with several members of the royal family, including Prince William and his wife, Kate Middleton.

The family feuds led to the Sussexes fleeing England with their son, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor.

In his new book, Battle of Brothers, royal author Robert Lacey revealed that the Queen mismanaged and mishandled Meghan’s situation.

Lacey stated that because Meghan is the only self-made millionaire in the monarchy, the Queen should have tried to work on things differently.

In his biography, Lacey wrote that “the Meghan situation was badly from the beginning, things would have been very different for Sussexes had the Queen played the situation differently.”

Lacey revealed what the Queen could have done: “There is only one self-made millionaire in the Royal Family, and that is Meghan Markle. If they had sat down with her at the start and said, “Let’s talk about the things you are interested in, things might have been different.”

The writer said it was a mistake to think that the former Suits star was a routine royal and added: “They just sent her off to watch the Queen opening the Mersey Bridge. There is nothing wrong with that, but they made the mistake of dealing with the spare’s wife, thinking she was just a routine royal. She was never going to be a routine royal.”

The book also revealed how the Queen quietly and firmly dealt with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s shocking decision to step down from their senior royal duties and become financially independent: “The Queen deliberated for several weeks and then ruled that Harry and Meghan cannot use Sussex Royal as a brand name to market their wares and various activities in North America. It has been reliably reported that Her Majesty remains sympathetic towards her grandson and granddaughter.”

Lacey went on to say: “She wished them luck in their new life in Canada – and her ‘eighth great-grandchild,’ of course. But it has also been said by those who know that the couple’s erratic and impulsive behavior over the past year had not prompted Queen Elizabeth II to entrust the Sussexes with using the word’ royal ‘any time soon.”

Some experts argue that things were always going to end this way because Meghan had her eyes set on bigger prizes from the beginning.
