Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene has found a way to make her mark in Washington as a newly-elected official by announcing that she will file impeachment articles against President-elect Joe Biden.
The Georgia Republican claims that Biden needs to face the music for abuse of power. Greene, a well-known conspiracy theorist, who is knee-deep into QAnon, made the shocking announcement hours after President Donald Trump made history as the only president ever to be impeached twice.
The House voted to impeach President Trump for “incitement of insurrection” following the shocking riot at the U.S. Capitol that left Republicans and Democrats fearing for the lives.
The event also caused the death of five Trump supporters, including a police officer. Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, a 9/11 truther, recently did an interview where she explained her decision: “We cannot have a president of the United States that is willing to abuse the power of the office of the presidency and be easily bought off by foreign governments, foreign Chinese energy companies, Ukrainian energy companies.”
Greene is hoping to drag the unfunded Hunter Biden scandal that has some inaccurately claiming that when Biden was vice president, he oversaw foreign policy in Ukraine that benefited his son.
A lengthy investigation by Senate Republicans concluded that Biden did nothing wrong. Greene said that she would demand that Biden be impeached, 24 hours after his inauguration.
She stated: “So on January 21, I will be filing articles of impeachment on Joe Biden.” The Trump loyalist is aware that it is an uphill battle because Democrats control both the House and the Senate.

Nonetheless, she insists that her surprising move is not only symbolic for the following reasons: “I’m a big believer in having people in office that are actually willing to do the job, and I can imagine people in this country being so fearful of a future of a Biden presidency that they may be willing to commit violence as they did in the Capitol here in Washington, DC.”
Greene added: “We cannot have that; I do not condone that violence. The American people need to know there are Republicans in Congress that are willing to stand up and fight for them regardless of being in the minority, regardless of having odds against us.”
Some political experts have argued that the media should not spend too much time covering Washington characters like the Georgia Congresswoman as Biden seeks to unite the country after the last four years.
