Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom were spotted enjoying a day on the beach together in Hawaii on Monday, just months after welcoming their first child together.
The couple has been engaged since 2019 and welcomed their daughter, Daisy Dove Bloom, into the world last August.
Katy Perry was seen wearing a flattering purple swimsuit as she soaked up the sun and sat on the sand checking her phone.
Meanwhile, her fiancé, Orlando Bloom, seemed to have spent some time in the water, emerging later on with wet hair and wet swim shorts.
Perry, 36, looked great in her outfit, which was accessorized only with a pair of gold earrings.
She tied her blonde hair back and did not appear to wear make-up, showing off a healthy glow just six months after giving birth to her first child.
The pop star spoke about the challenges of going back to work a few weeks after giving birth to Daisy and expressed awe at women who go straight back to work after pregnancy.
At the end of their beach outing, 44-year-old Bloom picked up their bags, towels, and shoes and put on a white cowboy hat for the trip home. Perry wore a sun visor and a purple and light green cover-up as they left the beach together.
The family vacation pictures led to some rather harsh comments about the fact that Katy Perry decided to travel after having a baby in the middle of the coronavirus pandemic.
A critic called out the artist by writing this remark: “They’re so dumb! Why are they even traveling during a pandemic…the fact celebs get away with this crap is ridiculous, and everyone else that travels get fined hefty fines they can’t even afford.”
Another angry social media enthusiast stated: “Erm has she really left her 5-month-old baby with a nanny so she can travel during a pandemic with Orlando ?. I’m so sick of her preaching to stay home and wear masks and then she does this ?.”
However, a backer opted to defend Katy Perry with this message: “I don’t think we need to bash Katy for this. Hear me out. So yes they are traveling during the pandemic BUT people are doing this all the time. She just has a bigger public presence so she is noticed. Technically going anywhere (to work, in a public spot, the mall, school has all been advised not to do…but we all still do with precautions). If you read anything about Hawaii’s travel guidelines. You have to have a negative test 10 days prior to arriving, You can also see that they aren’t in a huge group or even a crowd! They are just on a beach. 2 people. Very socially distant. And this isn’t the first time she’s traveled in the pandemic. What about the inauguration? Going to DC did you dislike that? What about American Idol that’s in San Diego and there’s a bunch of people near her. I think we all need to relax ♥️.”
Speaking previously in an interview about her fiancé, Perry said that Bloom was “so wonderful” during the birth of their daughter, Daisy, and provided her with “great support” as well as filming the special moment.
Perry and Bloom have disclosed that they plan to get married in Japan this year but are waiting until the coronavirus pandemic allows it.
The couple has bought a mansion in Montecito, California; where they plan to raise their daughter.
