Meghan Markle‘s estranged family members — her father, Thomas Markle, and half-sister Samantha Markle — have stepped out to slam her and Prince Harry following their jaw-dropping allegations.
Samantha Markle spoke to TMZ, saying that Prince Harry will divorce the Duchess of Sussex soon. She also had bashed Prince Harry’s wife for saying she grew up as an only child.
She stated: “The last time I saw her, 18 or 19 years ago and before that, 10 years before that. I don’t know how she can say I don’t know her, and she was an only child. We’ve got photographs over a lifespan, so how can she not know me?”
Meghan Markle’s father had appeared on British TV last week to respond to claims his daughter made about him during the exclusive interview with Oprah Winfrey last Sunday.
The interview, which has been watched by at least 28 million people so far in the US and the UK, included claims from Meghan Markle that her father, Thomas Markle, “betrayed” her.
In the interview, Meghan said she could not imagine “betraying” her son, Archie, as her father had betrayed her.
Responding to the interview, 76-year-old Thomas Markle — who claims he has not spoken to his daughter, Meghan Markle, for almost four years — said he has “apologized” a hundred times for the “mistakes” he has made in the past.
Among the “mistakes” he spoke about was his paparazzi photographs ahead of Meghan’s wedding in 2018.
Initially claiming the photos had been taking by paparazzi, it was later revealed that Thomas Markle and his older daughter, Samantha Markle, had been involved in a deal with the photographers.
Thomas Markle also said during his interview earlier this month that Meghan’s “biggest problem” was that she “ghosted all her family” and would not speak to them.
He stated: “It really did upset me; like I said, it would have been easy for her to reach out to me, any of the rest of her family, who she claims she doesn’t know. But the other thing is that I would think that she could turn to her husband. He obviously not supported her that well.'”
Speaking about his son-in-law, Prince Harry, Thomas Markle accused him of not supporting Meghan properly while she was suicidal and pregnant with Archie in 2019 and revealed he “hung up the phone” during a phone conversation with the Duke of Sussex.
Thomas Markle said he had watched the interview in full and found it upsetting, and claimed he has invited Meghan, Harry, and their son, Archie, to visit him at home in Mexico, which he said was just “70 miles away” from the Sussexes home in Montecito, California.
Despite admitting that “we all make mistakes,” Thomas Markle referenced a 20-year-old Prince Harry’s antics by saying, “but I’ve never dressed like Hitler like Harry did.”
He was speaking of Prince Harry’s infamous trip to Las Vegas, where he was photographed dressing up as Adolf Hitler for a party.
