Meghan Markle will remain “upset” a bit longer than planned by the looks of things because members of the royal family will not be reaching out to her at the moment after the earth-shattering revelations she made during her interview with Oprah Winfrey.
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry‘s new friend, Gayle King, surprised viewers by appearing on live TV to share rather embarrassing details about the power couple’s conversation or lack thereof with several royal family members, including Prince Charles and Prince William.
King said that the future kings of England called Prince Harry after he made allegations about the monarchy.
Harry said that a royal family member made racist remarks about Archie‘s skin color, and Meghan did not get the help she needed when she was having suicidal thoughts.
The TV host and reporter confessed that the father and the two sons’ conversations did not bear fruit. King also dropped the bombshell that only one of the Sussexes received a phone call from London.
King stated that the Duchess of Sussex was upset because the Prince of Wales and the Duke of Cambridge have thus far declined to hear her grievances.
King made the following revelations: “I’m not trying to break news, but I did actually call them to see how they were feeling, and it’s true Harry has talked to his brother, and he has talked to his father too. The word I was given was that those conversations were not productive, but they are glad that they have at least started a conversation.”
Oprah’s BFF went on to say: “And I think what is still upsetting to them is that the palace keeps saying they want to work it out privately. Yet they believe these false stories are coming out that are very disparaging against Meghan still – no one in the royal family has talked to Meghan yet.”
Royal experts Lizzie Robinson and Chris Ship decided to explain why Meghan Markle is getting the silent treatment at the moment.
The observers said the royal family would try to first have an ongoing and productive dialogue with Harry before contacting his wife.
Robinson said: “Gayle also said no-one has spoken to Meghan at this particular time — so it seems they are unhappy about that too.”
Ship chimed in: “You would think that the first point of contact would be speaking with the son before they speak to the daughter-in-law. None of this came out of Gayle King’s mouth without approval from Harry and Meghan.”
The royal observer went on to slam Meghan Markle for using her father, Thomas Markle‘s method of applying pressure to get his way.
Ship said: “Playing Devil’s Advocate, isn’t that exactly what Meghan was asking Thomas Markle not to do when he was speaking to the media, and Meghan wanted to keep it private.”
Robinson concluded by: “I kept thinking about the irony of that. That she kept wanting to deal with things privately with Thomas, and he kept talking to the media. It does seem that these things are better dealt with privately behind the scenes.”
Queen Elizabeth II has made some moves since the interview aired, like hiring a diversity tsar to help with race-related issues.
