Connor Cruise has shared one of his rare selfies on social media this week but is sporting a very different look to his usual shaggy hair and bushy beard.
The son of Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman is said to be happy living a relatively private and quiet life in Florida, but every now and then, he appears on his Instagram account with an update for fans.
The 26-year-old keen fisherman and chef was most recently seen on his Instagram Story for a selfie where he appeared to be shirtless and showed off a buzz cut and a much shorter beard earlier this week.
With a silver chain around his neck, the photo was captioned by Connor, “new face who dis,” as he highlighted his new look for followers.
Earlier this year, he expanded his social media presence and created a new Instagram page called “Connor’s Meat Shack,” which showcases his barbecue and grilling skills.
On his personal page, he can be seen holding huge fish that he has caught while on adventures in the sea, often accompanied by friends.
Connor Cruise lives in Clearwater, Florida, the home of the Church of Scientology, for which his father, Tom Cruise, is famous for following.
Connor also follows the religion, which has seemingly affected the relationship with his mother, Nicole Kidman, who is not a Scientologist. Followers of the Church of Scientology are encouraged to cut ties with others who do not support the religion.
Connor was adopted a few years after he was born in 1995 and joined the Kidman-Cruise clan alongside Isabella, who had been adopted by the couple a few years earlier, in 1992.
Nicole Kidman was asked about her relationship with her children in a past interview but said she is “very private” about it.
The Oscar winner went on reveal: “I have to protect all those relationships. I know 150 percent that I would give up my life for my children because it’s what my purpose is. They are adults. They are able to make their own decisions. They have made choices to be Scientologists and, as a mother, it’s my job to love them.”
She concluded by: “And I am an example of that tolerance, and that’s what I believe — that no matter what your child does, the child has love, and the child has to know there is available love, and I’m open here. I think that’s so important because if that is taken away from a child, to sever that in any child, in any relationship, in any family — I believe it’s wrong.”
The Hollywood icons have always been private when it comes to their relationships with their adult children.
