Amber Heard Takes Her Fight With Johnny Depp To A New Level

Amber Heard Johnny Depp Court Verdict

Johnny Depp has found various ways to celebrate his major court win against ex-wife Amber Heard.

After a high-profile six-week trial, Depp’s testimonies and stellar lawyer convinced the jury to mainly side with him.

The artist was awarded $10.35 million in damages. Compared to Heard, who only got $2 million.

Johnny Depp has been enjoying his impressive victory by touring with Jeff Beck. He also hit the London night scene and raked up a $60,000 restaurant bill with his large entourage.

Now that his image and reputation have been restored, Depp has taken to Facebook and Instagram to thank his fans.

The legendary actor, who became an overnight celebrity on TikTok, has decided to launch an official account on the social media network.

@johnnydepp

To all of my most treasured, loyal and unwavering supporters. We’ve been everywhere together, we have seen everything together. We have walked the same road together. We did the right thing together, all because you cared. And now, we will all move forward together. You are, as always, my employers and once again I am whittled down to no way to say thank you, other than just by saying thank you. So, thank you. My love & respect, JD

Johnny Depp, who picked up a legion of supporters as he waited for the verdict in his defamation trial, has over 8 million followers on TikTok.

On Tuesday, Depp, 58, uploaded his first video to thank the “loyal” fans who stood by him and asked that he gets the justice he deserved.

Depp shared a video that contained a lengthy montage of his most recent tours with Jeff Beck.

It also showed the filmmaker on his way to court and an army of supporters lined up on the side of the road with loud cheers and uplifting signs.

He used the caption for the first upload to show appreciation for the millions of fans who backed him during the trial.

Depp wrote: “To all of my most treasured, loyal, and unwavering supporters. We’ve been everywhere together. We have seen everything together. We have walked the same road together. We did the right thing together, all because you cared.”

He said, “And now, we will all move forward together. You are, as always, my employers, and once again, I am whittled down to no way to say thank you other than just by saying thank you. So, thank you. My love & respect, J.D.”

Amber Heard took the fight from the courtroom to social media. She quickly slammed Johnny Depp for saying he was moving on.

A spokesperson for Heard said: “As Johnny Depp says he’s ‘moving forward,’ women’s rights are moving backward. The verdict’s message to victims of domestic violence is … be afraid to stand up and speak out.”

Amber Heard has announced her plans to appeal the verdict. She explained why she was disappointed in the jury’s decision in a statement.

She stated: “The disappointment I feel today is beyond words. I’m heartbroken that the mountain of evidence still was not enough to stand up to my ex-husband’s disproportionate power, influence, and sway.”

Heard went on to say: “I’m even more disappointed with what this verdict means for other women. It is a setback, and it sets back the clock to a time when a woman who spoke up and spoke out could be publicly shamed and humiliated. It sets back the idea that violence against women should be taken seriously.”

She concluded by blasting Depp’s star power attorney, Camille Vasquez, swaying the verdict in her client’s favor.

She stated: “I believe Johnny’s attorneys succeeded in getting the jury to overlook the key issue of Freedom of Speech and ignore evidence that was so conclusive that we won in the U.K. I’m sad I lost this case. But I am sadder still that I seem to have lost a right I thought I had as an American — to speak freely and openly.”

Depp responded by saying that the “jury gave me my life back…the best is yet to come, and a new chapter has finally begun” for him.

He added: “I hope that my quest to have the truth be told will have helped others, men or women, who have found themselves in my situation, and that those supporting them never give up.”

The former pair wed in February 2015 and Heard filed for divorce and requested a domestic violence restraining order in May 2016. Depp has maintained that he never abused his ex-wife.

Depp, who had sued a British tabloid for calling him a “wife-beater “in 2020, lost the case.
