Prince Charles Recently Clashed With Prince Harry And Meghan Markle For This Reason

Meghan Markle Prince Harry Charles Clash

The book from Tom Bower that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle dreaded will be released next week.

Meanwhile, the famed author is leaking extracts here and there to captivate readers and create headaches in California and London.

After sharing a bombshell comment that Queen Elizabeth allegedly made about Meghan Markle during Prince Philip‘s funeral, the royal author is lifting the veil on what took place before and during the Platinum Jubilee.

In his new book, Revenge: Meghan, Harry and the war between the Windsors, Bower revealed that Markle and Prince Harry were not satisfied with the Queen and Prince Charles‘s decision to exclude them from appearing on the balcony of Buckingham Palace during the festivities that marked Her Majesty‘s 70th year on the throne.

In April, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex learned that they would be banned from appearing with Her Majesty on the balcony. The Queen and her team opted to have only working royals on the Palace balcony on June 2.

Prince Harry reportedly reached out to the Queen and asked if he and his spouse could appear on the balcony during the Jubilee, and he was denied.

The California residents did not take the answer with a smile. They cooked a plan to convince the aging Queen and her “resistant advisers” that they were worthy of the spots next to her during the big day.

Before heading to the Netherlands for the Invictus Games, Prince Harry and his wife made a secret trip to London to see Her Majesty.

The royal biographer wrote that Prince Harry traveled to the UK and bent backward to secure his grandmother’s agreement.

The writer shared: “When this failed, he asked the Queen if he could visit her in Windsor on his way to the Netherlands for the Invictus Games. To secure her agreement, Harry appeared to give the impression that the meeting would offer an ‘olive branch’ to ‘clear the air. At the last moment, keen to see her grandson and instinctively forgiving of Meghan, the Queen agreed to meet the couple on April 14.”

In an extract from the book, it was revealed that Prince Harry and Markle faced another obstacle as they attempted to secure a spot in the famous family photo.

Prince Charles made it clear that he sees Prince Harry and Markle as private citizens and would not invite them to public events.

The future king’s opposition to the balcony was less than ideal for Markle, who was betting on the precious moment to hype her projects with Netflix.

The journalist went on to reveal how the pair clashed with the heir to the throne’s decision: “The obstacles for Meghan and Harry to appear center-stage were considerable — not least because their presence was opposed by Charles. Charles preferred that the Sussexes, as private citizens, were not invited onto the balcony or to ride in a royal carriage. Instead, they would be confined to the VIP enclosures. In Meghan’s view, those optics were unsatisfactory, partly because her value to Netflix was to stand near the Queen.”

Prince Harry, Markle, and their young children were not given opportunities to interact with many members of the royal family during the celebratory weekend.

They flew back to California before the festivities were over, when the Queen made a second appearance with the high-ranking royals on the famous balcony.
