Don Lemon Tells President Donald Trump To Shut Up And Not Meddle In The George Floyd Investigation In Video — POTUS Responds By Calling Protesters Thugs And Threatening To Shoot Them

Don Lemon Donald Trump Minnesota Protests

Don Lemon is angry after watching the video of a white Minneapolis police officer kneeling on George Floyd‘s neck for more than seven minutes, and the CNN host has decided to vent his frustration on the Thursday episode of his show.

Floyd died of asphyxiation shortly after being arrested, and it led to many protests and fiery incidents in Minnesota.

Despite the heated protests and the fact that over 100,000 people have died due to the coronavirus, President Donald Trump seems to be more concerned with his ongoing war with Twitter.

However, at some point, Trump briefly addressed the matter by saying this in a tweet: “At my request, the FBI and the Department of Justice are already well into an investigation as to the very sad and tragic death in Minnesota of George Floyd….”

He later added: “….I have asked for this investigation to be expedited and greatly appreciate all of the work done by local law enforcement. My heart goes out to George’s family and friends. Justice will be served!”

The CNN host decided to unleash on President Trump and rejected his remarks about the investigation.

Lemon also made it clear that he does not care about U.S. Attorney Erica MacDonald‘s supposed concern about the case.

MacDonald said this at a press conference: “President Trump, as well as Attorney General William Barr, are directly and actively monitoring the investigation in this case.”

Lemon went after the controversial Republican leader in an epic monologue where he said: “I know she has a tough job, but guess what, as long as we are honest right now. Nobody wants to hear from the White House or the Attorney General right now. No one wants to hear from the man who wanted the death penalty to come back for the Central Park Five. No one wants to hear from the man who says that the former president was not born in this country. No one wants to hear from the man who said there are ‘very fine people on both sides.’ Do you understand what I am saying? No one wants to hear from the person that they perceive as contributing to situations like this in this society. Not directly, but allowing people like that to think they can get away from this. No one wants to hear from the Birther-in-Chief, from the ‘sons of bitches’-calling person, who says that athletes are kneeling for this very reason.”

He added: “It should be a given, and no one wants to hear that. Unless you want to come out and say, ‘I understand how African-Americans feel in this country, I understand the mistakes I have made with African-Americans made in this country. I understand there is an election coming, but I just don’t want your vote,’ we don’t want to hear that. That is the God’s honest truth. So, that was a misstep on her part. To come out and say I want this investigated to the fullest extent of the law, we don’t want to make any mistakes. Amen, sister. Amen, brother. But why don’t you have the same urgency for those people out there, some protesting, but some out there who are actually ravaging and pillaging, at least burning down stores. I don’t know if it’s by accident or what. Or who are going in and raiding stores? Fine, that should not happen.”

Trump responded to the events in Minneapolis by calling the protestors “THUGS” and by threatening to shoot them.
