It is believed that Prince Harry‘s uncharacteristic silence about his upcoming tell-all book speaks volumes to those paying close attention to his moves.
Prince Harry planned to drop more damaging truth bombs in his memoir, which was initially set to be published in the late fall of this year.
However, Meghan Markle‘s husband decided to hit pause on the project because it was the right thing to do after Queen Elizabeth II‘s death.
The former soldier and his wife stayed in London for more than two weeks, where they had a better lay of the land.
The pair interacted with King Charles III, Prince William, Kate Middleton, and other family members.
These private moments gave them juicier and fresher content for the book. However, Prince Harry also witnessed firsthand that King Charles was not like Queen Elizabeth.
The new King means business and is quick to punish when his recommendations are ignored.
A month has passed since King Charles ascended to the throne, and he is dithering with the titles for Prince Harry and Markle’s two children — Archie and Lilibet Diana.
The King of England is using the titles as leverage. He will bestow the titles only if Prince Harry and Markle respect and dignify his reign and the British monarchy.
However, Prince Harry has been paid a massive check for a tell-all book, so what is an independent prince to do?
Immediately upon his return to California, Prince Harry scheduled appointments at Penguin Random House to revise several painful chapters in the book.
Prince Harry is determined to please the King and protect his reputation, but that might be an impossible task, according to royal expert Duncan Larcombe.
He told Fox News that the publishing company would ignore Prince Harry’s pressure to protect the British royals and march on with the book because it had already invested too much money, time, and other resources.
Prince Harry’s desperate pleas to soften the tone of the book for the sake of the King, his brother, and others will be brushed aside because this is about business making profits.
He said: “Harry’s publisher, Penguin Random House, has invested a lot of time, effort, money, and so on in producing the book, addressing and doing all those things to it.”
Larcombe added: “So they will not acquiesce to the growing pressure Harry may be feeling from his family to soften his book. It could be their best-selling book of all time. Who knows. So they won’t want to just turn around and say, ‘Fair enough Harry. Yeah? You don’t want to rock the boat anymore at this time.’ Simply doesn’t work like that. They’re in a business commercial world now.”
Additionally, the publishing company has the manuscript, and therefore, Prince Harry has his work cut out if he wants to prevent the book from being released.
He concluded by: “If Penguin wants their book, and they’ve got the manuscript, Harry might have a hell of a fight on his hands to contain anything of his plans.”
The Duke of Sussex cannot stop this train.
