King Charles Sets To Face Nervous Holiday Season With Prince William And Camilla, Queen Consort

King Charles III and people close to The Palace were starting to believe the hype and thought that Prince Harry would spare the Royal Family in his tell-all memoir that will be out on January 10.

After Queen Elizabeth II‘s death, it was said that The Duke of Sussex requested some edits to the book.

However, it seems those reports were exaggerated and that the father of two more or less kept the general tone of the book.

The Sovereign is coming to the realization that the monarchy needs a plan to navigate the upcoming months and not give Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, more material.

The book titled Spare and all signs point to an unapologetic look at the life of the renegade royal. By taking that road, Prince Harry wants to put the spotlight on the Royal Family.

The Palace is on high alert when it comes to the release, but there is not much they can do about it.

Royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams told the Daily Mail: “It is a sensational title and implies that the writer was not valued or certainly that he did not feel at the center of events. When the blurb speaks of ”raw, unflinching honesty,” the Palace will be very concerned, especially since these are the early months of King Charles’s reign.”

He continued: “There will undoubtedly be interviews, serialization, and endless speculation about this memoir, which in my view, should have waited many years. Even Edward VIII, by then the Duke of Windsor, waited until 1951 before A King’s Story was published. The consequences of this will be far-reaching and may be highly destructive.”

As King Charles focuses on rebuilding the image of the monarchy, the book threatens to derail all of his work. For example, it will cover the aftermath of Princess Diana‘s death.

This will put a bright light on mistakes that King Charles has made in the past, including his alleged affair with Camilla Parker Bowles.

Prince Harry could also reveal the name of the royal who made the racist comment about his future children. This is awful timing for the monarchy that is starting to build on diversity.

The racist allegations could also produce headlines about the monarchy’s controversial past involving slavery and colonization.

Royal biographer Tom Bower is convinced that things are going to get very ugly and messy.

He told the publication: “Profits demanded that the book be published as soon as possible after the Queen’s death. And the publishers were helped by the reality that neither Harry nor Meghan are prepared to terminate their campaign against the Royal Family.”

Bower continued: “To those who have speculated that Harry wanted to dilute his ghost-written text to remove the most offensive descriptions of Charles, William and Kate, one can only surmise that his book can only be a global commercial success if a healthy dollop of poison remains.”

He concluded: “The damage to the Royal family will be great. Charles’s retaliation could include not giving their children their prince and princess titles and even withdrawing their own titles of Duke and Duchess of Sussex. Certainly, Harry was warned that the Sussexes’ revenge would be answered in kind, so there is certain to be a nervous Christmas among the Royal family in Sandringham as they anticipate the worst. For the new King, still planning his coronation, this could not have come at a worse time.”

The royal expert is right; the damage could be consequential. Moreover, removing the Sussexes’ titles could look desperate at a time when sharing personal truths is often applauded.

King Charles is going to face his first real test as a Monarch. Prince William and Camilla, Queen Consort, are going to be by his side on the front line.

By the looks of things, Prince Harry is not going to spare anyone.
