It is said that King Charles III initially had a warm relationship with his daughter-in-law, Meghan Markle, but for a long list of reasons, things disintegrated into chaos.
According to new revelations made by a royal expert, Markle never stood a chance because King Charles unfairly judged her family life while praising Kate Middleton for being born into a happy home with two parents who have been married for decades.
King Charles had certain unpleasant feelings about Markle’s broken home.
The irony is that King Charles got divorced, and his wife, Camilla, Queen Consort, is a divorcée.
Not to mention almost all of Queen Elizabeth‘s children divorced their respective spouses.
This week, royal author Angela Levin did a fascinating interview with The Sun, breaking down the relationship between King Charles and Prince Harry‘s wife.
She also revealed all the inside details of why the pair grew apart.
According to the royal expert, King Charles was delighted to meet Markle and felt like she was a breath of fresh air when she first joined the Royal Family.
Levin told The Sun: “Prince Charles, as he was then when he was first introduced to Meghan, thought she was terrific. He did think she was a breath of fresh air, and he was very happy that Prince Harry had found someone to get married to.”
However, very rapidly, things moved in the wrong direction because of Markle’s attitude toward the royals.
The writer claimed that the former American actress was rarely excited by the invitations extended to her by her in-laws.
She revealed: “It didn’t work and however kind he’s been – offers of coming up to Balmoral and coming to lunch in the country – it’s been taken with no enthusiasm or not taken at all. He’s done his very best, but Meghan wanted her and Harry to be number one, and it annoyed her.”
Angela Levin went on to share that King Charles had very different relationships with his daughters’ in-law — Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle.
Prince William‘s wife comes from a strong and drama-free family. She is quiet and does what she is told, even if she is against it. Markle is opinionated and makes her feelings known when she disagrees.
The author shared: “Meghan, of course, comes from a broken family, and there is a lot to show that she tends to just cut people out of her life if they say anything that might not be praised.”
She concluded by saying: “[Catherine is] a family person; she doesn’t cause trouble even if she’s not 100 percent pleased with something, she just gets it done and carries on, whereas Meghan takes a stand. The way that [Catherine] and the now King look at each other when they go to an event or go to an engagement, they’re very relaxed with each other, they smile, they laugh, they’re at ease.”
Markle has been loudly using her voice on political and social matters on her podcast. Whereas Middteleon, like all high-ranking members of the Royal Family, has been apolitical.
