Prince Harry And Meghan Markle Hurt King Charles Without Even Trying

Prince Harry and his wife, former actress Meghan Markle, find ways to anger King Charles III even when they are not trying hard to do it.

On December 6, the power couple is set to receive the prestigious award from the Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights Foundation.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex will rub shoulders with some of the most influential figures in America. A seat at their table will go for up to $1 million.

With the Ripple of Hope Gala in New York, the foundation seems to be siding with the Sussexes in their power struggle with the British monarchy.

For a while, the message was subtle, Kerry Kennedy, the president of the foundation, is now revealing everything. The powerful activists are being awarded for standing up to structural racism in the monarchy.

The move is now a direct challenge to King Charles and his new reign. The Sovereign, who is trying to modernize the Royal Family, is being presented again as the face of a racist organization.

Kerry Kennedy told The Telegraph: “They went to the oldest institution in UK history and told them what they were doing wrong, that they couldn’t have structural racism within the institution; that they could not maintain a misunderstanding about mental health.”

She continued: “Few would have the courage to question their colleagues, family, and community about the power structure they maintained, and this is what Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have done.”

The ex-wife of former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo says that the philanthropists have paid a huge price for standing up to the monarchy.

She added: “[They] knew that if they did this, there would be consequences… and that people would blame them for it. They have done it anyway because they believed they couldn’t live with themselves if they didn’t question this authority. I think they have been heroic in taking this step.”

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will premiere a Netflix documentary in December. The father of two will then publish a tell-all memoir titled Spare on January 10.

King Charles is waiting on the two projects to see if a reconciliation is realistic between the two sides. While the Sussexes have been mostly muted in their criticism of the monarchy since the death of Queen Elizabeth II in September, the award is a reminder that things can change rapidly.

It is one of the reasons why there is a lack of trust between the Sussexes and King Charles. Critics are adamant the couple does not deserve this kind of accolade.
