On December 25, King Charles III delivered a Christmas speech that was seen around the world. His Majesty also led a walk that was viewed by millions.
It was two significant firsts for the new King, who used both opportunities to let Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, know that they have burned all the bridges that lead back to England.
Prince Harry and Markle have dedicated their time, energy, and resources to make the months of December and the first half of January 2023 very chaotic for the Royal Family.
The power couple used all six episodes of their highly successful Netflix docuseries Harry & Meghan to paint King Charles, Prince William, and Kate Middleton in a negative light.
In a few weeks, Prince Harry’s tell-all book Spare will be published with the aim of burning down the monarchy with embarrassing details and secrets.
His Majesty is no longer in the outreach and peacemaking business. In his first Christmas speech, King Charles focused on all the people who matter to him — making sure to leave out Prince Harry and Markle.
King Charles praised and uplifted Britons suffering during the severe economic crisis every day.
He applauded Prince William and Kate Middleton for putting service and selflessness as their top priority.
King Charles showed appreciation for his wife, Camilla, Queen Consort, for supporting him and promoting the institution.
He also thanked his late mother, Queen Elizabeth II, for setting a path and standards for the monarchy.
Dissecting the speech, royal commentator Jonathan Sacerdoti pointed out: “I think it was significant that he didn’t mention Harry and Meghan, but not in the way some might have expected. He barely mentioned anyone beyond a very small circle of royals tightly linked to the previous, current, and next generation in succession – his mother, his wife, and the Prince and Princess of Wales. When he spoke of the Prince and Princess of Wales, he again focused on their service to those in need.”
King Charles appeared to usher in a new era, where Prince Harry and Markle have become so irrelevant and toxic that their names are no longer mentioned during important events.
The royal expert revealed: “The speech brushed away Harry and Meghan’s massive efforts to pull focus and attract attention, almost dismissing those efforts as nothing more than distractions from what he thinks the genuine concerns of the Royal Family and society truly are. He didn’t allow them to set his agenda.”
King Charles literally walked into the new era on Christmas Day. The Daily Mail dubbed it the “Magnificent Seven.”
Royal watchers en masse came out in the freezing cold to greet the royals during the special walkabout in Sandringham.
King Charles led the way, and he was followed by Queen Consort Camilla, the Prince and Princess of Wales, and their children — Prince Louis (who made his debut in a walkabout), his elder siblings, Prince George, and Princess Charlotte.
Royal expert and columnist Sarah Vine wrote that King Charles has reshaped the monarchy in an earth-shattering way.
She wrote: “Barely a few months have passed since the Queen died, and already the tectonic plates of the Royal Family have shifted beyond measure.”
She added: “Harry and Meghan were, of course, conspicuous by their absence, having spent the past few weeks lobbying lumps of dirt across the Atlantic in increasingly desperate attempts to win fans and shame the royals back home. But it mattered not a jot that they weren’t there. In fact, if I’m honest, it was a relief not to see Harry’s scowling face and Meghan’s pained smile. And besides, who needs the Fab Four when you can have the Magnificent Seven: three united generations of royals who genuinely seem to enjoy their roles and appreciate the place they hold in the nation’s hearts?”
Whether or not it was their goal, Prince Harry and Markle have become persona non grata in the Royal Family.
I’m glad he talked about those in need, but won’t ever actually help. What they worth, 28 billion? Isn’t George worth 3 billion?
But damn, don’t USE that money to make Britain better. HOARD it and just say “I’m so sorry you don’t have as much money as us”
