Prince William lets Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, know that two can play this game.
In his bombshell book Spare, Prince Harry gave an inside look at his resentment of his brother and heir, Prince William.
The Duke of Sussex used the book to say that growing up as the spare, he was often overlooked by the Royal Family.
He felt like his life did not matter as much as Prince William and cited the traveling arrangements as an example.
According to the British soldier, King Charles III and Prince William were not allowed to travel on the same plane because the monarchy would have a constitutional crisis if they both died in a crash.
Prince Harry explained that as brothers, they fought when they were children, and unfortunately, their quarrels turned into full-blown assaults as they became adults.
When Prince Harry made it clear that he had plans to marry Meghan Markle against his family’s wishes, several clashes occurred between the two princes.
Prince Harry wrote about one brutal fight with the future King of England, writing: “And we moved from one room into the kitchen. And his frustrations were growing and growing and growing. He was shouting at me. I was shouting back at him. It wasn’t nice. It wasn’t pleasant at all. And he snapped. And he pushed me to the floor.”
Throughout the book, Prince Harry shared many instances where Prince William screamed, yelled, and belittled him.
Prince Harry also painted Prince William’s wife, Kate Middleton, as a villain who made Meghan Markle cry and refused to clear up the story after the opposite leaked in the British press.
After almost 2 million copies of Spare were sold in less than 24 hours, Prince William’s friends came out in force to issue a dire warning.
Talking to The Times, Prince William’s pals threatened Prince Harry with a dozen embarrassing stories of his own.
One of the close friends claimed: “There’s so much stuff over the years that Harry has rung friends up about and said, ‘throw away that photo, promise you won’t speak about this.’ You could have a f****** field day with s*** on Harry. So could William, who (in comparison) is as clean as a whistle. I can’t believe he’d stoop so low.”
Another friend warned there is “so much we could say about Prince Harry. It’s strategically not clever. Harry is good at getting his narrative out there, but we know so much. We’ve cleaned up so many messes over the years.”
A third pal concluded by saying: “It’s cruel, cowardly, and so sad for William to keep taking the punches. He’s keeping quiet for the good of his family and the country.”
Prince William should be ready to take more punches because Prince Harry said he removed the nastiest elements from Spare, but they could land in a second book.
