Prince Harry walked with grace and pride as he entered Westminster Abbey to attend King Charles III‘s coronation.
However, during the most poignant portion of the ceremony, Prince Harry was forced to swallow some of that pride to pay homage to His Majesty by speaking some profound words alongside the other 2000 people at the social gathering.
The Duke of Sussex accepted King Charles’s invitation to the coronation in the midst of a bitter feud with his father, Camilla, Queen Consort, Prince William, and Kate Middleton.
Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, have revealed a long list of dirty secrets that the royals would have preferred to keep buried in their closets and well-manicured backyards.
Prince Harry stunned with an epic performance when he arrived at the event with a cocky smile. He shared multiple jokes with the archbishops and family members before taking his seat.
However, at some point during the service, Prince Harry faced the ultimate test — would he keep his cool and pledge allegiance and pay homage to his father?
Prince Harry bowed his head, and while hesitant, he repeated the following words: “God save King Charles. Long live King Charles. May the King live forever.”
According to a royal expert, the former soldier was able to demonstrate a master class of self-confidence and dignity during the first half of the service.
However, as the event was concluded, he had some real human emotions. Body language expert Darren Stanton told Express that Meghan Markle’s husband had a “moment of sadness” by the end of the celebrations.
The expert claimed: “Harry was confident and seemed genuinely quite elated throughout the ceremony. He showed signs of pride towards his father; however, during the procession, as King Charles passed Harry on his exit from the Abbey, Harry displayed fleeting moments of sadness within his facial expressions.”
After watching his father crowned and taking the oath, Prince Harry was overwhelmed with emotions — including sadness and nostalgia.
The commentator claimed: “As he was on the outside looking on, it seemed Harry experienced feelings of nostalgia too. A noticeable moment was when Harry was seated in the Abbey; he was looking for a reassuring figure and appeared slightly out of sync compared to everyone else. We saw him adjusting his sleeves in a bid to reassure himself – a tell-tale pacifying gesture.”
Some royal observers thought that it was the beginning of a detente between the father and his youngest son.
