Donald Trump has confessed to taking part in some rather sinful activities, including holding celebrities by their private parts and paying a porn star thousands of dollars after he had sex with her while his wife, Melania Trump, was pregnant.
However, Christians in America say, “He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her,” and rapidly forgave him and continue to give him their full support.
Evangelicals backed Trump during his first two presidential campaigns. And he is leading with religious voters in his 2024 presidential bid for the White House.
Recently, the former president gave believers in Jesus Christ and atheists something to think about while talking about his faith.
During a town hall, Trump was asked by a voter: “How his faith has grown since he first ran for president, and who has mentored him in his faith journey.”
Trump confessed that he has seen heartache and turmoil in his life. The billionaire real estate mogul went on to explain that he feels like he is being persecuted with the lawsuits, the investigations into his attempts to reverse the election results, and the mishandling of classified documents.
Trump stated: “I’ve seen so much heartache and turmoil. I was a developer, and I did other things, and you know I had a wonderful life, I had a wonderful life before all this stuff. I didn’t know what a grand jury was. I didn’t know what a subpoena was — what is a subpoena?”
As for those who mentored him, Trump remains vague by saying: “I know so many people, and who feel so good about themselves and their family, and they base it on religion. I know so many people that are so incredible, religious people, and not just Christians, not just evangelicals.”
While president, Trump was delighted to be associated with the following religious leaders: “I am honored to work with many Americans of faith, including our great Vice President Mike Pence, Faith Advisor Paula White, and so many others. These people truly love our country and love God.”
During the town hall, Trump also revealed: “I was so happy to run for president because I’ve made America great. We, we can do it again. Right now, we are not a great country.”
Trump said if he gets back in the White House he will delight Christians by “preserving religious freedom, protecting our values, alleviating poverty, strengthening marriages and families, increasing mental health care, curbing substance abuse and addiction, ending homelessness, reducing crime, and reforming our prisons.”
Christians have Trump’s back no matter what.
