For several months, Meghan Markle has been carrying a heavy secret. Prince Harry‘s wife tried to whisper it during her interview on The Cut, but she dropped so many bombshells during her chit-chat that her secret went unnoticed.
For her 42nd birthday, Markle hinted that she had been preparing something a bit mysterious, but not many believed the trail of clues.
Well, the Montecito royal has stopped beating around the bush and has more or less confirmed that she will be back on Instagram.
A source close to the actress spoke to the Daily Mail and revealed that a major announcement is imminent.
The insider confirmed that @Meghan belongs to the Duchess of Sussex. The person in the know told the media outlet: “Yes, that’s her. Expect an announcement very soon. She’s coming back.”
The source shared with The Mail on Sunday: “Everyone in Hollywood is talking about the re-launch being imminent. Meghan has never made any secret of the fact she wants to return to Instagram.”
Many predict that Markle will be launching her money-making venture in mid-September after attending the 2023 Invictus Games in Düsseldorf, Germany with Prince Harry.
Eric Schiffer, a social media expert, who advises a long list of celebrities, told the publication he is not surprised about Markle’s move and added: “I don’t think Meghan coming back to Instagram will surprise anyone. She has a new talent manager and this is the next logical step.”
He went on to make this bold prediction about Markle’s big return to social media by saying: “I would expect her to quickly become one of the most followed accounts on Instagram. You have celebrities like the Kardashians who can command $1 million (£790,000) and up for a single post promoting a product.”
The expert is adamant that Markle will sit high on the list of top earners.
He said: “There is no reason Meghan couldn’t be earning those sorts of fees. She has to be careful, as a duchess, to avoid being seen to be hawking every product under the sun. She will align with quality brands and companies that are on point with her political and social beliefs.”
Marketing expert Kent Moore, who runs OneEyedSocial, shares the same beliefs as Schiffer. Moore broke down the numbers to reveal that Markle will rapidly replace the revenue that she lost from Spotify.
He explained: “I think she would instantly shoot into the top ten highest-paid influencers in the world. Her status is unique because she is a celebrity, actress, and royalty. Meghan could charge a million dollars per post as an absolute minimum.”
He also revealed why big brands will find Markle appealing: “That sum would rise quickly if her partnerships achieve global coverage and traction. Brands could want to align with her for campaigns over a couple of years, featuring several posts and even personal appearances. Those types of deals could come in well over the $ 12 million (£9.5million) mark and even as much as $20 million (£15.9million).”
It is not known how Prince Harry will handle Markle’s big return to the media spotlight. A recent report from Page Six revealed that Prince Harry is ready to move to Africa to avoid all that comes with fame.
The same source claimed that Markle, on the other hand, loves being famous.
