In September, Prince William and Kate Middleton and other members of the Royal Family are set to remember Queen Elizabeth II with several events, some of which will be public and others private.

According to reports, the heir and the future Queen of England will have a family dinner to honor the late Queen on September 8.

Prince Harry will travel to London on the anniversary of the passing of his grandmother to attend a charity event.

As he has done in the past 15 years, Prince Harry will be at the WellChild charity event.

Prince Harry does not have plans to meet with King Charles III or Prince William during his brief visit.

Meghan Markle has opted to travel to Düsseldorf, Germany to attend the Invictus Games with her spouse.

Royal columnist Jan Moir wrote a penetrating piece in the Daily Mail to comment on the Duke and Duchess of Sussex‘s decision not to take part in the commemoration of Queen Elizabeth’s life and legacy.

The royal author had this to say about Prince Harry: “In September, Prince Harry will visit the UK to attend an awards ceremony for the WellChild charity on the day before the anniversary of the Queen’s death. But there are no plans to meet his father or his brother. Apparently, he is not even going to the private family dinner at Windsor to remember Elizabeth II. He then goes on to Germany for the Invictus Games, where his wife will fly out to join him.”

According to the royal watcher, Meghan Markle has sent a clear message, it is her prerogative if she prefers to stay away from England, the English, and the royals on the first anniversary of the death of Queen Elizabeth.

She claimed: “The message from Meghan couldn’t be clearer. She is never going to set foot in the gray, cake-filled, miserable UK again if she can possibly help it.”

According to the expert, she believes that Markle deemed it was the final straw when King Charles put his foot down and humiliated her by denying her the opportunity to be with the Queen on her deathbed.

The royal commentator admitted that it is okay for Markle to avoid England and added: “Perhaps being forbidden to attend the Queen’s deathbed at Balmoral — to shed light, to empower, to recommend a turmeric cleanse and some yoga stretches to the woman she never knew as Gan-Gan — was the last straw. And if there is a role for her as a wifely appeaser to help heal the rift between her husband and his family, she has chosen to avoid that, too. As is her right.”

Nonetheless, she finds it strange that Prince Harry and Markle, who are often talking about reconciliation and world peace, are determined not to reach out to the Royal Family.

She concluded by: “But there is a puzzling disconnect about all this bitter friction. The Duke and Duchess keep embracing big themes such as reconciliation and family. They talk earnestly of healing, humanity, and hope but, somehow, never apply these messages to themselves and their relationships with their families, which are as toxic as a giant hogweed swamp.”

Sources close to Markle have revealed to PEOPLE Magazine that she has moved on from the royals and is busy writing new chapters of her life with Prince Harry and their two children.

Additionally, Markle has made it clear that she avoids all important royal events because she does not want to be a distraction and create a media circus by attending.

Prince William and Middleton have decided to visit St David’s Cathedral in south Wales to mark the first anniversary of the death of Queen Elizabeth on September 8.

Middleton and Prince William will also pay tribute to the late Queen by visiting communities in the region.
