It seems that Whoopi Goldberg has no problem answering some of the most intimate questions about her life.
This week, the host of The View appeared on The Best Podcast Ever with Raven and Miranda which is hosted by Raven-Symoné and her wife, Miranda Pearman-Maday.
The ladies dived straight into the private stuff, with the former Cosby star asking Whoopi Goldberg about the lesbian vibe she was getting when she worked on the morning talk show.
The Oscar- and Grammy-winning actress said that she has been asked that question by many other women before, and she is happy to give a clear and definitive answer: she is not a lesbian; however, she has kissed women before while playing movie roles.
The Sister Act star stated: “Women have been asking me this for as long as I’ve been around; I am not a lesbian. But I know lots of them, and I’ve played them on television.”
Whoopi Goldberg said she had honest conversations with the female stars she had to kiss to explain what she was comfortable with and what her boundaries were.
The talk show host shared: “I’ll tell them, ‘I’m not gonna kiss you, but I’ll kiss you over here; I’ll do this, but I’m not going to do this’ … and they’re like, ‘OK!'”
Raven-Symoné, who was sitting next to her spouse, went on to confess to Whoopi Goldberg that she had a major crush on her while she was hosting The View.
Raven-Symoné claimed that she fantasized about Goldberg’s breasts because she felt a lesbian vibe when they were colleagues.
Raven-Symoné confessed: “Honestly, when I was around you, I loved you so much, like, I just wanted to be up underneath the t—y the whole time. But that’s also because you just kind of gave me lesbian vibes!”
Whoopi Goldberg appeared unbothered by the steamy conversation and confession. Miranda Pearman-Maday concluded by explaining that Raven-Symoné has a wild imagination and believes almost everyone she meets is a lesbian.
Pearman-Maday stated: “I think this is a secret fantasy of Raven’s! I think she just wants everybody to be gay and she’s just really hoping you’ll come out right here, right now.”
The Color Purple star has been married three times. At the age of 18, she wed drug counselor Alvin Martin in 1973, they had a daughter and divorced in 1979.
In 1986, Whoopi Goldberg married Dutch cinematographer David Claessen , and they divorced two years later.
Whoopi Goldberg’s last marriage was to actor Lyle Trachtenberg in 1994. Goldberg said she is done with weddings because divorces are boring and expensive.
