Pete Davidson is now dating Outer Banks actress Madelyn Cline, and things seem to be going well between the two celebrities.
However, one of the Saturday Night Live alum’s famous exes is now opening up about their time together. For Phoebe Dynevor, of Bridgerton fame, Davidson was a “hard lesson” that she had to learn as a slightly naive young woman.
She has come out on the other side of the story feeling better about herself and how to handle fame. Dynevor, who is 28 years old, dated the popular comedian for a few months in 2021.
In a new interview with Elle, the Fair Play star gets real about this important moment in her love life.
She stated: “It just goes back to being naïve — I didn’t think anyone would care. I was just being a young woman and dating and somehow that provokes a conversation. There were lots of hard lessons I had to learn through basically just having a personal life.”
She went on to say: “You realize, ‘Oh, I can’t live my life in the way that I used to. I have to keep my cards slightly closer to my chest.’ There was a time, for example, when I’d post anything on my Instagram, and now I’m very, very careful about what I put out into the world.”
She made it clear that she got more than she had bargained for with the brief romance. The English stunner said: “This whole world that I was opened up to was really intimidating. Having men outside your house with cameras is super scary when you live on your own. There were men who would wait outside my house with cameras, and it was the same men a few times.”
While trying not to sound too whiny on the matter, she also claimed: “I don’t want to go on the record and say that I was being stalked, but when you have paparazzi who are waiting outside your house, it definitely feels like that.”
More than how to deal with the celebrity world, Dynevor learned how to deal with herself and manage her own emotions. The actress eventually found out that she “had to learn to let things go.”
She elaborated: “You have to let it go and focus on the work. I really am just here to act; I love my job so much, and it was weird for me that the attention was being taken away from my work.”
Dynevor is reportedly dating Cameron Fuller. As for her famous ex, he is still flying high when it comes to dating.
Her statements surfaced days after her ex made some big moves in his personal life. Davidson’s new romance with Cline comes weeks after he broke up with Chase Sui Wonders, a talented starlet that he dated for close to one year.
Previously, he was linked to Kim Kardashian, Ariana Grande, Kate Beckinsale, Kaia Gerber, Margaret Qualley, and Cazzie David.
The Staten Island native has been in and out of rehab in recent years, and he has been quite open about his mental health issues.
