For King Charles III and the rest of the Royal Family, silence is golden. Prince Andrew was greatly rewarded for not badmouthing the royals during his era of sex scandals.
The disgraced prince was tempted to write a tell-all book but quickly changed his mind once he understood how furious King Charles, Prince William, and others became after the publication of Prince Harry‘s now-historic memoir Spare.
It has been several months since Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, made any comments about the British royal family.
The power couple has done the impossible after the book, series, podcast, and interviews: they have moved on and become mum on all royal-related topics.
Not only that, Prince Harry, via his close friends and relatives, made it clear that he would love to reconcile with his father and brother.
The Duke of Sussex suddenly revealed that he would gladly accept an apartment from his father. Markle appears to have closed that chapter for good.
A source told The Sunday Times: “Having a base in his home country, despite everything that has happened, is appealing.”
King Charles is ready to reward his youngest son for his good behavior. According to royal experts, King Charles will put a plan in motion for Prince Harry to have at least a temporary royal domain in the UK.
In the latest episode of Palace Confidential, the commentators discussed The Sunday Times‘ recent article explaining that because Prince Harry is a counselor of state, he needs a home in England.
Host Jo Elvin asked royal expert Rebecca English: “A piece in The Sunday Times now and the suggestion that Palace courtiers are discussing buying a home for Harry and Meghan is in the UK now, which might seem extraordinary, but it’s because Prince Harry remains a counselor of state.”
So, which home will Prince Harry stay in when he travels to London for business, pleasure, and court appearances?
The royal expert stated that Kensington is out of the running because of Prince William, but the doors to St. James’s Palace or maybe even Clarence House might be opened to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
She revealed: “I’ve made some inquiries too, and everyone I’ve spoken to very firmly deny this suggestion that was made on the weekend that they were going to start looking at giving Harry a permanent home at Kensington Palace. And there’s quite a lot of incredulity about that; they’re saying it’s not going to happen, and why would we give him a home next to, you know, the offices and the home office setup of the brother he no longer speaks to? It would just be too weird in every sense of the word.”
The royal commentator and writer also claimed: “But what they do want to do is find a way that, as long as they’re given enough notice, they can get things sorted out for him so that they can give him somewhere to stay when he and possibly his family come over in the future, they haven’t said where.”
The King might offer Prince Harry a place in his childhood home.
She went on to say: “Knowing the setup, I think it would probably be somewhere like James’s Palace or maybe even Clarence House because you know the king and queen are in different places. Clarence House is where Harry grew up, but I think St. James’s Palace is more likely; there’s a little bit more wiggle room on places he could stay there. Princess Anne, for example, has an overnight apartment there.”
She believes King Charles might make the gesture because he does not want Prince Harry to be completely pushed out of the family.
She concluded by: “So I think they are trying to find a way for him to be allowed to stay, so he doesn’t feel totally pushed out, but I think the idea of him ever getting anything permanent, certainly in the near future.”
The Duke of Sussex is closer to achieving his goal.
