Kate Middleton and her team are preparing for a crucial meeting in the upcoming months. The royal, who is battling cancer, is solely focused on her health and healing process at the moment.
Princess Kate, cherishing every moment, is gradually carving out time to be with her three young children, George, Charlotte, and Louis, whenever her health allows.
However, it will not always be that way. In the past few weeks, encouraging news has reached Middleton from her medical team: her preventive chemotherapy shows positive results, a promising sign for her health and recovery.
With the recent update confirming her treatment is working, Princess Kate’s return to work is not a question of “if” but “when.” Middleton and Prince William were the most famous statespeople of the Royal Family.
The pair attracts large crowds during royal engagements, whether at home or abroad. Kate Middleton’s presence, elegance, and allure gave the royals headlines.
Middleton is stalling on that crucial meeting with her staff to discuss when she will return and what her new or revised workload will look like.
When Middleton returns to public life, her staff will take extra precautions to avoid large crowds because she has a fragile immune system.
According to a royal source who spoke to Harper’s Bazaar, the heavy discussions about Middleton’s return to her role are not currently occurring.
The person in the know stated: “There is no information about Kate‘s ‘return’ because the focus at this moment in time is 100% on her health — to suggest she won’t return to her role is unfair and untrue.”
The source goes on to explain: “Conversations of that nature are just not being had. When the time is right, she will resume her work.”
On how Kate Middleton is handling the ordeal, the source said: “She is in good spirits. She is focused on her health and family.”
Insiders have confirmed that Prince William and King Charles III will not press Middleton to jeopardize her recovery for anything, not royal engagements, photo ops, or overseas trips.
Her comeback will be at a snail’s pace. A Palace spokesperson told Us Weekly: “We have been really clear that [Kate] needs the space and the privacy to recover right now. She will return to work when she has had the green light from doctors.”
The Royal Family will have to rely on other major players for now. However, that number is very small.
