Kate Middleton is often described as a woman with superpowers. She is the perfect royal, wife, mother, daughter, and woman.
Princess Kate has faced countless dramas, controversies, and scandals in the past two decades and always walked away victorious without one hair out of place.
Middleton is currently battling cancer after undergoing major surgery — therefore, she cannot expect to be the superhuman that the world has come to know and love.
While undergoing chemotherapy, Middleton braved her aches and pains and the dreadful weather for her family and the monarchy to attend the Trooping the Colour ceremony.
Kate Middleton, immaculately dressed in white, did not miss a step as she made her massive return to the spotlight.
However, for a brief moment, while not many people were watching, Kate Middleton was hit with her painful and draining reality.
In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, royal expert Katie Nicholl shared some insight on the situation.
She said that Middleton, like anyone else suffering from a significant health issue – is struggling.
The author laid bare Middleton’s human struggle and vulnerability by saying: “The princess has this sort of swanlike quality about her — she’s sort of gliding on the surface — but beneath the water, I think often she’s paddling quite frantically.”
Nicholl told the media outlet that a massive amount of preparation and mental Jujitsu made it possible for Middleton to grace Buckingham Place alongside King Charles III and Prince William.
She said: “I can only imagine that a huge amount of preparation and time and effort and energy will have gone into Saturday’s appearance.”
She described that humanly painful moment when Middleton gave a glimpse into her agonizing ordeal.
The author explained: “She was on her feet for a long period of time. There was a moment where she was watching the parade . . . and was offered a seat, which she gratefully accepted.”
According to the expert, that brutally honest instance reveals the toll the cancer and treatment have taken on the future Queen‘s body.
Nicholl continued: “That’s just a bit of an acknowledgment that she is not as strong, not as fit, as she was before she went into this treatment.”
There was a lot of activity on the balcony, King Charles gesturing to his wife, the Wales children Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis moving around and interacting with their relatives – so there is a considerable possibility not many witnessed Princess Kate’s fragile and unreal moment.
