Prince William wants his feelings about his younger brother to be clear after what seems to have been a major misunderstanding.
The heir has stepped up to the plate with King Charles III battling cancer and undergoing draining chemotherapy.
He has taken on one royal engagement after the other, with the help of Kate Middleton, who is recuperating from a significant health issue.
Prince William has also launched several long-term projects he believes will improve the world. This week, Prince William participated in a new documentary about homelessness.
In it, the heir to the throne recounts how Princess Diana took the brothers to a homeless shelter in London as children to show the realities of life outside the Palace.
In the film Prince William: We Can End Homelessness, the future King discusses how he will tackle the issue in length.
However, at some point, Prince William got emotional and personal by talking about his late mother, Princess Diana, who took him and Prince Harry to the Passage in Westminster to help many in need.
The young boys and their mother visited The Passage and volunteered in 1993. Prince William explained how that moment helped shape his views on homelessness by saying: “My mother took me to the Passage, she took Harry and I both there… I’ve never been to anything like that before and I was anxious as to what to expect. My mother went about her usual part of making everyone feel relaxed and having a joke with everyone…I remember having some good conversation, playing chess and chatting. You meet people, like I did then, who put a different perspective in your head.”
Prince William continued by saying that the mission is essential to him because it is part of his mother’s legacy.
He said: “When I was very small my mother started talking about homelessness, much like I do now with my children on the school run.”
William also expressed a strong desire to take action: “I feel compelled to act because I don’t want to just talk about it.”
The Daily Mail‘s royal correspondent Natasha Livingstone explained that Prince William’s mention of his brother’s name is a huge sign of an olive branch or revelation process.
The brothers have been estranged since 2020 when Prince Harry and Meghan Markle stepped down from their royal duties and started a franchise to damage and attack the royals and the monarchy.
The royal expert wrote: “Prince William has taken a conciliatory step in his feud with Prince Harry by publicly naming him for what is believed to be the first time in six years.”
However, royal author Phil Dampier revealed Prince William would only send out an olive branch to his brother when the hell freezes.
He confirmed the two men are not resolving their issues via a post on X that read: “This is NOT an olive branch to Prince Harry. Prince William could hardly have airbrushed him out of their shared childhood experiences. End of.”
Supporters of the Royal Family were hoping for a new beginning.
