King Charles III and the rest of the Royal Family had a complicated year, but Meghan Markle has been able to give them a good chuckle.
This week, Markle had a significant moment in the spotlight with the release of her Netflix series, With Love Meghan.
Millions tuned in to support Markle and to watch her entertain her famous friends with her pastries and drinks.
Others watched the series to mock and laugh at the former actress as she tried to reinvent the wheel with a dash of help from Prince Harry and their young children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
Social media and Netflix’s comment section lit up. Markle was criticized for turning lemons into pricey lemonades, water into sparkling water, and a few flower stems into a bouquet.
However, millions will not tune in to watch Markle in a fashionable outfit whip up the perfect brunch because they deem it not worth their time or energy.
Among those who are too busy for the Netflix series is King Charles. His Majesty, at the age of 75, believes he has nothing to learn from his estranged daughter-in-law about gardening, spreading jam on bread, or beekeeping.
Additionally, The King has too much on his plate to give Markle any of his attention. Sources close to the Sovereign spoke to Vanity Fair and explained how he bruised Markle’s ego.
The publication stated: “According to people with knowledge, the Royal Family’s senior members, including Prince William and Kate Middleton, have “zero interest” in watching the TV show. One source said, “The King knows more than enough about beekeeping. Besides, he’s far too busy to sit down and watch it.”
The media outlet revealed that King Charles and other Royal Family members would be dismissive of the series.
Vanity Fair shared: “In episode one (‘Hello, Honey!’), Meghan is seen harvesting honey from her beehives. Both King Charles (Buckingham Palace is home to four beehives) and the Princess of Wales are keen beekeepers, but according to one friend of the royals, “There’s very little to actually learn from Meghan’s TV show. I suspect that [the royal family] will be pretty dismissive of it. ”
Not only will King Charles not watch Markle and Prince Harry parade around a California mansion making sweet treats, but the royals will not even extend a simple congratulatory message, further highlighting their disregard.
Markle’s series has been renewed for a second season.
