King Charles very often rewards her for her efforts. This week, it was confirmed that when it comes to his queen, money is no object.
His Majesty paid over 3 million dollars for an old mill next to the Queen‘s home because they planned to turn it into a wedding venue.
Implying guests would invade the Queen’s space and privacy. The Daily Mail said: “The King has averted a security crisis by buying a £ 3 million ($3.8 million) house next to his wife’s country retreat amid fears it could become a rowdy wedding venue. For 30 years, Raymill, the Wiltshire bolthole Camilla refused to part with after marrying Charles, has been her cherished sanctuary away from the public glare. ”
A royal source has revealed that Queen Camilla was extremely anxious about the plan to transform the mill into a party and reception venue.
The insider told The Mail: “A proposal to sell The Old Mill next door and turn it into a wedding venue has caused her great anxiety. Think of it – dozens of wedding guests carousing every weekend just the other side of her fence.”
A friend of Camilla’s also spoke to The Mail and added: “There was an imperative to act for Camilla’s protection and privacy because a potential buyer sought to maximize commercial use of the property as a short-term holiday rental and wedding venue. The Old Mill will now be installed with a security-vetted tenant who will ensure it is put to appropriate use.”
A royal source said: “The new arrangement is a pragmatic solution, being both a sound financial investment and a way of maintaining Her Majesty’s privacy, protection, and continued enjoyment of her much-loved home, without any public funds being used. I know how grateful and relieved she is, not least given all the additional stresses and anxieties of the past year.”
The episode reminded the world that King Charles’s pockets run deep, and so does his anger against Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. This anger stems from their actions, revelations, and accusations in their book Spare and their Netflix series.
The King is finally apt to resolve the couple’s housing drama in the UK but has chosen not to because Prince Harry and Markle’s memoir and docuseries have revealed many private family matters, causing tension and leading to the couple’s eviction from Frogmore Cottage.
After the pair were evicted from Frogmore Cottage, Prince Harry and Markle said they desperately tried to have a pied-a-terre in England.
That would allow them to reconnect with the family, and their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, would bond with their grandfather.
