Chelsea Ambriz, 26, and 32-year-old Erica Bivens usually bring the news and weather reports to people in West Virginia via WSAZ-TV station. This time, the meteorologist and news anchor have become the story.

Ambriz allegedly attacked the journalist who had accused her of trying to seduce her husband, Donald, also called Joe Draper in some media outlets, a member of the U.S. Coast Guard. The incident ended in dramatic fashion and Bivens had to be rushed to the hospital.

How did the two media personalities end up in such an unusual situation? Well, it is actually more simple than it looks. Bivens and her hubby went out on Sunday to have some fun, and the alcohol was reportedly flowing.

While drinking in Charleston, Bivens met her colleague, who according to the police report, started to flirt with her husband. The man turned her down and went and told his wife about her behavior.

Bivens, also a model and aspirant actress, was not too pleased, decided to confront the on-air forecaster. Things got ugly pretty quickly as Ambriz allegedly shoved the anchor, who ended up with a fractured head and ruptured an eardrum, allegedly

According to the official report, both women fell near a bar area, and the incident resulted in a bit of hearing loss for Bivens.

The newswoman tried to reassure her fans Friday with the following statement. It read, “Just wanted to update you all, I am at home recovering from a fractured skull and ruptured eardrum. I’m waiting on the doctors to clear me so I can get back to work. Thank you so much for the kind words and support.”

As for the meteorologist, she was charged with misdemeanor battery. She is set to appear in court on September 21. Ambriz could face up to one year in jail and pay a $500 fine if she is found guilty.

Bivens and Ambriz always had a complicated relationship, according to the news anchor.
