Ted Cruz And His Wife Heidi Get Heckled By Protesters In DC Restaurant Over Brett Kavanaugh’s Allegations Shouting ‘We Believe Survivors’ In Viral Video

Ted Cruz Brett Kavanaugh Washigton DC Protesters

Ted Cruz and his wife, Heidi Cruz, were heckled at a fancy Washington, DC restaurant Monday night by protesters who are pushing against President Donald Trump‘s Supreme Court nominee, Judge Brett Kavanaugh, who is currently facing sexual misconduct allegations from at least two women.

Kavanaugh’s nomination is in limbo with his first accuser, Christine Blasey Ford, set to testify on Thursday during a Judiciary Committee hearing.

The judge claims that he never behaved improperly with women and the White House is still supportive of the nominee.

Democrats are trying their best to derail the process. Meanwhile, Republicans want to move faster because the midterms elections are approaching and they do not want to wait in case they lose the control of the U.S. Senate.

Cruz is a supporter of Mr. Kavanaugh, and his encounter with the left-leaning activists was caught on video and posted on Twitter via a page called “Smash Racism DC.”

The group is said to be against “Nazis, Ku Klux Klan” and some of its members were shouting, “We believe survivors.”

One woman off-camera wanted Cruz to share his position, but he did not take the bait and simply replied, “God bless you, mam.”

The same activist would not let go and stated, “Bless you as well, I really appreciate you. I’m a survivor of sexual assault, mam. I believe all survivors. There are now three people who have come forward and who have said that Brett Kavanaugh has attacked them. I know that you’re close friends with him. Could you talk to him about that? Could you talk to him about his position?”

Cruz, who is facing a serious challenge from Democratic Congressman Beto O’Rourke, previously supported fair hearing for the Conservative judge and his female accuser.

Despite a tighter race than expected, experts believe that Cruz will be able to save his Senate seat in November.

The viral video might help him rally his party’s base in Texas.
