Selena Gomez has decided to speak out about a recent viral video that featured her ex-boyfriend’s wife.
Taking to TikTok, Hailey Bieber posted a brief clip that irked many people, especially those who support Gomez.
In the clip, Justin Bieber‘s wife is joined by two famous friends — Kendall Jenner and Justine Skye.
The trio stood holding drinks in their hands and singing the following sentences: “And I’m not saying she deserved it, but I’m saying god’s timing is always right.”
It did not take the internet long to add one plus one and to suggest that Bieber, Skye, and Jenner were throwing shades at Gomez.
At the time, the singer and actress was in the news after she received harsh body-shaming comments from critics.
Backers of Gomez rushed to slam Hailey Bieber and her pals for the video, with many calling them mean girls.
Others explained that no one uses this old sound/trend that died in 2022 without vengeful reason, which is why they believe that Bieber was going after Gomez.
The heavy backlash caused Bieber to delete the post. That prompted some commenters to say she was guilty, which is why she removed the clip.
TikTok user ellenacuario had this to say on the matter: “Is she for real? Did she really? I’m not really an avid follower of the situation but isn’t Hailey the one that, like, begged Selena to tell off her fans for bullying her? I mean, Hailey’s a b—-h.”
Selena Gomez responded to the drama by saying: “It’s ok! I don’t let these things get me down! Be nice to everyone! x”
Hailey Bieber did an interview recently where she spoke about Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber’s relationship for the first time.
The model stated that she never hooked up with Bieber while he was dating Gomez.
She confessed: “No, not one time. When him and I ever started, like, hooking up or like anything of that sort, he was not ever in a relationship — ever, at any point. … It’s not my character to mess with someone’s relationship. I would just never do that. I was raised better than that. I’m not interested in doing that.”
She added: “I think that there are situations where you can still kind of have, like, back and forth with someone, but even that was not the situation. I can say, period, point blank: I was never with him when he was in a relationship with anybody. That’s the end of it. And I had been involved with him since I was 18.”
The ladies made peace in 2022, but it seems that since Gomez started enjoying her “trouple” with Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz, new tension has arisen.
Gomez, Peltz, and Beckham spent Thanksgiving and New Year’s Eve together. The trio was on social media, making naughty jokes on Valentine’s Day.
