Brad Pitt And Angelina Jolie’s Daughter Shiloh Jolie-Pitt Repays Actor For His Past Sins

Brad Pitt might not have been aware of it, but his daughter, Shiloh, has kept track of his acts. The teenager recalls the good, bad, and very ugly events when Pitt was still married to her mother, Angelina Jolie.

The 18-year-old also remembers Pitt’s actions toward her older siblings. To repay her father for the traumatizing experiences she endured as a child, she decided to drop his last name.

The teen is now known as Shiloh Jolie. Miss Jolie used her own money to hire a lawyer to get the legal process going.

When the name change was published in the LA Times, one of the most prominent newspapers in the world, it became evident how much Shiloh truly wanted to cut ties with her father.

Shiloh Jolie’s attorney issued a statement explaining why the announcement was publicized. In a statement to Page Six, Shiloh’s attorney, Peter Levine, denied the claims that his young client took out a newspaper ad to announce the dramatic name change.

He stated: “Shiloh Jolie did not take out an ‘ad’ announcing any name change or any press reporting that is inaccurate.”

Levine went on to say that the law required the publication of the change. He revealed: “As Shiloh’s attorney, I must publish a legal notice because the law in California requires that of anyone who wants to change their name. That legal notice was published in the Los Angeles Times, as is required.”

The lawyer concluded with a suggestion to the media. He said: “The media should be more careful in their reporting, especially when covering a young adult who has made an independent and significant decision following painful events and is merely following the legal process.”

In May 2024, when she turned 18, the teen wanted to change her name from Shiloh Nouvel Jolie-Pitt to Shiloh Nouvel Jolie.

However, this week it was revealed that a clerical error has delayed the process for a few more weeks. Mr. Levine told PEOPLE Magazine: “Unfortunately, the court was unable to complete the background check ahead of today’s hearing, so the hearing was rescheduled for August 19.”

PEOPLE Magazine has also confirmed that the actor knows that his daughter has decided to drop “Pitt” from her surname and is hurt by the decision.

According to the insider, Pitt feels that he has lost his children. The source stated: “He’s never felt more joy than when she was born. He always wanted a daughter. The reminders that he’s lost his children are, of course, not easy for Brad. He loves his children and misses them. It’s unfortunate.”

All of Pitt’s six children have hinted that they have dropped his surname after reports of physical abuse in 2016.
