This is the apology that Tomi Lahren has been forced to issue after making some disturbing comments about Americans needing guns to protect themselves against immigrants crossing the Mexican border to enter the United States.
She said via social media: “Not what I meant & I apologize for the way it came out. I simply mean without a secure border we don’t know who is coming into our nation & those who wish to do us harm will exploit it. I’m NOT advocating for violence against any person, regardless of race or immigration status.”
The conservative darling was on Fox Nation where she lashed out at Democrats including 2020 presidential candidate Beto O’Rourke who said at Thursday night’s debate, “Hell yes, we are going to take your AR-15, AK-47,” while talking about the two mass shootings in Texas.
Lahren decided to make a series of incendiary remarks to defend weapons used to kill dozens of Americans in a matter of seconds.
Host Stuart Varney said: “What I like about America is that we’re the only country in the world where armed citizens are allowed, just in case the government gets out of line.”
Lahren responded by saying: “This is your right, your right to protect and defend yourself and your family. And all the things the Democrats want to put in place — my goodness, if they want to open our borders, you better be sure the people in Texas, the people in South Dakota, the people in the middle of this country, we are going to be armed and ready. Who knows who’s coming in? That’s the thing we don’t know, and we have to be able to protect ourselves.”
She went on to declare: “You can’t depend on the government to protect you at all times. That’s what so many Americans forget, is they put their safety and security in the hands of the government. The government is going to fail you.”

Many have taken to social media to give Lahren a piece of their minds.
A Democrat shared her thoughts by saying: “Let’s start with her! Obviously, she selectively forgets that she and her family, as we all, are immigrants! She’s a ?.”
Another voter confessed: “Dang someone is drinking hateraid punch. what happens to love ✨All the hair dye bleach has rotted her tiny brain, and she wears evil statements as a badge of honor, sad!?♀️?♀️?♀️?♀️”
This defender stepped in to say: “Aye, simple fix. Everyone mind their own business. If someone wants to own guns, let them. If someone wanna get an abortion let them.”
This critic revealed: “And they still did Afro Americans worse. Maybe one day they will be on the other side of everything. It all comes around!”
A neutral voice asserted: “In Canada, we are not the police, and there’s less aggression here, you Americans love mass shootings,250,000 guns are smuggled into Mexico a year making it the most dangerous city in the world. YOU AMERICANNNNNS ARE NON CARING ABOUT YOUR NEIGHBOURING COUNTRIES AND YOUR selves.OVER 10,000 PEOPLE GET KILLED A YEAR THERE.”
Lahren’s rhetoric was slammed by Democratic candidates like Julian Castro.
