A recent report about Lisa Marie Presley has taken many by surprise. It has been announced that she is writing a new book about her life with Michael Jackson with whom she was married to from 1994 to 1996.
Lisa Marie was also married to Danny Keough, Nicolas Cage, and Michael Lockwood. The book will also touch on her relationship with her father, Elvis Presley.
The book is likely to be of huge interest to many, given the sizes of the fan bases of both singers and the legacy they have left behind. And the announcement was met with a lot of attention from multiple sides.
According to rumors, the book is so hot that Lisa Marie has managed to strike a multimillion-dollar deal for its sale, apparently with Gallery Books, which has paid between $3 million and $4 million for the salacious piece of writing.
The book is going to reveal some shocking new details about the late Jackson, according to Page Six reports, and is going to take a more different look at her relationship with the troubled artist.
It is not clear what she might have to say about Elvis, and this is a factor that has raised multiple eyebrows by itself.
However, there has been active speculation that the tome might go into some more candid details about Jackson’s fascinating life, as the woman is in a position to reveal a lot about him that was not previously public.
It has been a long time since Lisa Marie has talked about her relationship with Jackson. The last time she made some interesting revelations about her life with the singer was in 2010.
Priscilla Presley’s daughter sat down with Oprah Winfrey for an interview where she said this about the controversial pop star: “There was a very profound point in the marriage when he had to make a decision. Was it the drugs and the sort of vampires, or me? And he pushed me away. By vampires, I meant sycophants.”
She added: “The one thing that correlates with Michael and with my father on this subject is that they had the luxury of creating whatever reality around them they wanted to create.”
Jackson’s ex-wife was also asked about his inappropriate relationships with children and his numerous trials in a 1995 interview with Diane Sawyer and she defended him by saying “I know that he’s not like that.”
Most recently, Jackson’s sex scandals were discussed in HBO’s Leaving Neverland. It would be exciting to see how her perspective has changed after all this time if there has even been a change at all.
Earlier this year, Lisa Marie was involved in a book — Harry Nelson’s The United States of Opioids: A Prescription for Liberating a Nation in Pain.”
The singer and songwriter decided to open up about her fight against drug addiction.
Lisa Marie explained: “I had never openly spoken in public about my own addiction to opioids and painkillers. I wasn’t sure that I was ready to share on such a personal topic.”
Fans of the late King of Pop music are not here for the book and already slamming it before even knowing the content.
One of them shared: “Lisa please tell always the truth about Michael I can’t stand more pain so many lies about him please ? I love you and I trust you. Let us continue having proud of you.”
Another commenter stated: “If you’re going to sign a 3 mill contract to “spread shocking details” about Michael just spread the positives. He’s been gone for 10 years let him rest peacefully.”
A third MJ supporter explained: “Is it too much to ask you to try and live your life, make money like every other person, working! AND STOP TALKING ABOUT MICHAEL JACKSON!!!!! Let him rest in peace freaking leech!!!”
A film about Elvis is set to be released in 2020.
