Kristin Cavallari sees her estranged husband, Jay Cutler, as “lazy” and “unmotivated,” according to a bombshell report that just dropped.
The couple got married in 2013, and at the time, Cutler was a Chicago Bears quarterback. Cavallari, a reality TV star and media personality, thought the athlete would launch a broadcasting career after he retired from football.
Things did not go that way, and apparently, this was one of the main reasons why Cavallari pushed to get a divorce.
An insider told Page Six: “She was growing increasingly impatient with him. He was supposed to take this big job at Fox Sports and have a life after football that would get him up off the couch and do something. Instead, he backed out — this is [three] years ago — and joined the [Miami] Dolphins. That didn’t pan out well, and he was left with no TV gig until she got the show for them.”
The source continued: “[Cavallari] views herself as very polished and put together, and [Cutler as] this lazy, unmotivated guy.”
On April 28, the Very Cavallari stars announced the split, and the mother of three wrote on her Instagram page: “With great sadness, after 10 years together we have come to a loving conclusion to get a divorce. We have nothing but love and respect for one another and are deeply grateful for the years shared, memories made, and the children we are so proud of. This is just the situation of two people growing apart. We ask everyone to respect our privacy as we navigate this difficult time within our family.”
The Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County talent always did things her own and unique way. She has always been willing to try different things until she finds the one that sticks. For example, she has even put out a cookbook.
Cutler and Cavallari have reached a joint custody agreement when it comes to their children. Moreover, many observers are surprised that things are moving so quickly.
One fan, who understands the two sides, has shared: “I dunno why everyone’s hating on jay? He took care of the house and kids while she was off working all he wanted was a balanced family life, but she obviously wants more… it just didn’t work out, none of them are to blame! Still think jays better, though.”
A second commenter blasted Cavallari for not being more patient with Cutler and continued: “That’s not really fair. He was the Provider to the family when he was a full-time football player, and I’m sure he made good money. He retired early, which is unusual but not for his line of business. I’m sure he wanted some time not to do much. I’m sure it was really annoying that he probably didn’t cook dinner, and he wasn’t a good stay-at-home dad because he’s never done it before, but you have to give a man time to adjust. Having said that, I definitely don’t take his side. He seemed like a jerk. But in the real world, in non-celebrity relationships, you have to give it time and give it everything you have, you don’t just give up.”
Cavallari and Cutler have faced some cheating rumors in recent years.
