After spending a family vacation together, Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip were pictured looking happier and more in love than ever.
The couple was spotted by photographers and a few adoring royal fans as they were leaving Balmoral Castle. Her Majesty and Phillip were in a great mood, for they smiled and waved at the paparazzi eager to snap away photos.
The Queen, Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, and many of their close relatives spent a quiet time in Scotland, enjoying nature and hunting.
After six weeks in their royal estate in Aberdeenshire, the duo hopped on a private jet to “spend time privately on the Sandringham Estate,” according to a statement issued earlier in the week.
The statement went on to explain that her Majesty intends to “resume the use of Buckingham Palace for selected audiences and engagements.”
However, because of the ongoing coronavirus, “these plans will be kept under review and will, of course, be subject to all relevant guidance and advice.”
The pair, who has been married for 73 years, will be in “their new bubble at Sandringham” as they continue to spend an unprecedented amount of time together.
According to royal expert Joe Little, the pandemic has created a lot of bonding time for the couple.
Little explained: “This must be the longest they’ve been under the same roof for many years, I would say. But it’s an opportunity for them in their later years to reconnect. It is the perfect royal cocooning.”
A royal fan had this kind comment for the Queen and her spouse: “I love these two on their little honeymoon after reconnecting ??.”
Another well-wisher stated on social media: “God bless the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh…!!!!! ???? It’s a pleasure to see both again…!!!???????????”
The Queen received this note: “Lovely to see her Majesty and his RH Prince Philip enjoying their holiday break, they still look in love.”
The adorable photos surfaced just days after author and royal expert Ingrid Seward made some shocking revelations about the Queen’s marriage.
Seward wrote a piece in The Daily Mail where she explained: “Sarah Bradford, the highly respected biographer, told biographer Gyles Brandreth: ‘The Duke of Edinburgh has had affairs, yes, full-blown affairs, and more than one. He has affairs, and the Queen accepts it. I think she thinks that’s how men are. Philip and Sacha Abercorn certainly had an affair. Without a doubt.”
The Queen is quite good when it comes to PR and making a statement, those photos might have been the case.
