Prince William and Kate Middleton are thought to be planning a trip to visit Prince Harry and Meghan Markle in California this year.
According to an inside source, the Cambridges will travel to the US and visit the Sussexes in their new home towards the end of 2021 — but only if coronavirus travel restrictions have lifted.
The person familiar with the situation said: “William and Harry’s fallout was very real, very ugly, and incredibly intense. But, they have reached a point where they both agree life is too short for pettiness and animosity. There was a lot of trash-talking on both sides, and it’s fair to say each of them felt betrayed by the other as well as disrespected.”
With several events coming up over the spring and summer — which Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are expected to travel to the UK for — the couples are set to be reunited on British soil before the meet-up in Los Angeles.
Queen Elizabeth II has apparently “shed tears of joy” upon learning that her grandchildren are working to repair their broken relationship.
The royal family is due to come together for the Queen‘s 95th birthday in April and again for Prince Philip‘s 100th birthday in June.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been invited to both occasions, in addition to the unveiling of a new statue of Princess Diana at Kensington Palace in July, commissioned by her two sons.
Royal author Phil Dampier believes that the reunion between Prince William and Prince Harry will be “awkward,” as he says the brothers are not talking a lot.
However, other sources believe that they have decided “life is too short” and want to find a way to reconcile their differences and put their recent feud behind them.
A royal source added that both the Duke of Cambridge and the Duke of Sussex had felt betrayed by the other and things had been “ugly” and “intense.”
The tension between them escalated further when Prince Harry and Meghan Markle stepped down as senior members of the royal family last January.
The insider believes the brothers have now learned “a lot” from the experience and are ready to make amends.
The Cambridges and the Sussexes were thought to have exchanged Christmas gifts with each other last month, a move which indicated they may be getting closer once again.
Supporters of the British Royal Family are excited to see where the relationship between the two brothers is headed.
