Prince Harry was spotted sans his pregnant wife, Meghan Markle, enjoying a nice day on the beach.
Over the weekend, a few leaked photos of Prince Harry, who was voted “world’s sexiest Royal,” hit social media.
The Duke of Sussex looked fit, happy, and relaxed as he soaked in the Califonia sun while strolling near the ocean and playing with his dog, Pula.
Wearing a simple white T-shirt, black shorts, and a baseball cap, Prince Harry seemed to have the time of his life as he walked barefoot on the beach in Santa Barbara and tossed a stick around for his dog to chase.
A source spoke to PEOPLE magazine and said this about Prince Harry’s outing: “He looked totally at ease. He has a great relationship with his dog, walking it off-leash. He looked just like a Montecito local just doing his thing — very relaxed walking barefoot.”
The prince’s delightful day on the beach comes hours after he slapped down a wild rumor about his wealth. His representatives have refuted claims that the Duke of Sussex and his brother, Prince William received millions of pounds in inheritance from the Queen Mother.
Representatives of Prince Harry denied that he inherited £70 million or $96 million from his great-grandmother when she passed away in 2002, despite claims to the contrary.
The spokesperson for the Duke of Sussex revealed to Forbes magazine that “he was not a beneficiary of any of the Queen Mother’s fortune.”
In an exclusive interview last month with Oprah Winfrey, Prince Harry said that he had been cut off financially when he stepped back from his role as a senior working member of the royal family.
This had left him relying on the multi-million inheritance from his late mother, Diana, Princess of Wales, and looking for alternative income sources, such as the recent deals signed alongside his wife, Meghan Markle, with Netflix and Spotify.
When the Queen Mother died at age 101 almost twenty years ago, she left her estate to her daughter, Queen Elizabeth II, with certain requests about where the money should be distributed.
It was believed by many that the bulk of the money she left behind would end up going to Prince Harry.
His older brother, Prince William, who is second in line to the throne, is set to take over as monarch one day and will benefit financially as a result.
Their mother, Diana, left behind almost £13 million or $17 million to her sons when she was tragically killed in 1997, which decreased to just over £8.5 million or $11 million after inheritance taxes.
Speaking to Oprah Winfrey in the interview, which first aired in the US on March 7, Prince Harry disclosed that he had the money his mother had left him, but aside from that had been financially excluded from the family after stepping down and moving to the US.
When talking about his transatlantic move with Meghan Markle and his son, Archie, Prince Harry said it felt like his mother had “seen it” coming and had been with them “through this whole process.”
