There is a general outrage over the new HBO mini-series entitled The Prince that not only mocks the British royal family but takes shots at the young heir to the throne, Prince George, 8.
The child is portrayed as a spoiled brat who terrorizes his family, including Queen Elizabeth II, parents, and staff members.
In one episode, the poor little rich boy is lamenting about being stuck in a massive palace because of the coronavirus pandemic.
The bratty character complained: “Hey guys, it’s me, Prince George…I know self-isolating is difficult, and we’re all sick of being stuck in the same 775 rooms, or, you know, studio apartment; it’s different for everyone.”
Many were left baffled and angered by the fact that one of Prince Harry‘s close friends, actor Orlando Bloom, decided to take part in the mockery and ridicule of Kate Middleton and Prince William‘s oldest son.
Bloom is also Prince Harry’s next-door neighbor in Montecito, California. Bloom is the voice of Prince Harry’s character — an over-privileged royal who is dumbfounded by the simple life in his new California mansion with a confused Meghan Markle.
Several reports emerged from the palace revealing that the royal family is fuming over the controversial animated series. Kate Middleton and her husband, Prince William, have not publicly commented on the satirical show.
A royal expert weighed in on the matter and said it mush be painful for Kate Middleton to watch her son be depicted in such a cruel way.
Royal commentator Howard Hodgson said this about the Duchess of Cambridge‘s feelings: “Gosh, absolutely. But you have to just go out and smile and put a brave face on it. Can you imagine the damage that may be done to your child if there was a bit of a p*ss-taking program, especially if it makes him out to be a bit of a spoilt brat.”
The author of titles such as The King and Di: The True Story went on to say: “A bit of a Marie Antoinette character; you would hate it if it was your son. But they have to learn to just take that on the chin, which they do. The more attention we give it, the more we encourage it. The fact is the Royal Family will just ignore most of it, out see it, and it will just go away.”
Another royal expert revealed via The Sun that the pain that Kate Middleton is going through because of what is being done to her son might unite her spouse and brother-in-law.
Stephen Armstrong explained: “Cambridge supporters hate the very idea of the show for its whole camp-as-Christmas George, and question the morality of making a small child the focus of an adult satire. Meanwhile, Team Meghan commentators have already labeled [creator] Gary Janetti ‘witless, deeply sexist, and lazy as all hell’.”
Is there a possibility that Prince Harry could take a stand and defend his young nephew?
